We had low water pressure in our kitchen faucet and I thought the valve was stripped. We contacted Networx Contractor Referral Service and listed our problem. We were contacted within the hour by both Networx and Smart Rooter & Plumbing's Sam Singh. I looked over Smart Rooter's reviews on several consumer sites including YELP and was satisfied that Smart Rooter and Sam in particular was the right man for the job. He and his associate arrived on time Saturday and quickly diagnosed the problem, which he then completely explained to my wife and I. It was determined that in diagnosing the issue, he was able to clear up the water pressure issue. He indicated that his ""fix"" was temporary and could last as little as a month or could last for a year, but long term he recommended a new faucet. After some conversation it was decided that would be the course of action. Sam came back on Sunday (actually a half hour early) and put in the new faucet and fully explained the warranty. All in all, no one wants to have to deal with home repairs, but Sam made the whole procedure as easy and painless as possible. I will definitely keep Sam and Smart Rooter at the top of my contact list for all of our plumbing needs, and would not hesitate to recommend him and his company.

We recently bought a home in the Linda Heights neighborhood of Pinole. About 2wks in we noticed both of our bathrooms, (toilets and showers), were clogged & not draining correctly. I called about 4 different rooter services for quotes to clean out the lines. Sam wasn't the cheapest 'over the phone' quote, but he took the time to explain the different methods of clean out, why some work better than others, and what questions to ask when getting other quotes to make sure we were getting the best method of clean out for the price. We scheduled a clean out with another company that quoted a cheaper price prior to talking to Sam, but when it came time for the appointment they called us saying they were over 2 hours behind. When i asked them the follow up questions Sam mentioned, I came to find out that they intended on cleaning out the line via a 'not as effective' method. We called same right away at about 2p on a Friday with sewage coming up through the shower drain. He was able to get there by 530p w/ the towed machine & another guy to clean out the lines. I highly recommend Sam. He is a straight shooter and will treat you right!

Sam is my plumbing hero!

I'm an avid do-it-yourselfer so it pains me to have to pay anyone to do anything I think I can do myself after watching a few good youtube videos, but when it comes to my old house and it's plumbing issues I trust none other than Sam! He has saved me on more than one occasion and his pricing is always fair. With my old pipes and the horrible tree roots growing into them, I've had problems with my main line backing up and sewage water coming up out of my bathtub while showering on numerous occasions (disgusting!!!). I used to have to pay a plumber a few hundred dollars every few months to snake my main line, which was just a band-aid on a much bigger problem. Sam was the first Plumber to offer me a solution that was not going to cost me tens of thousands of dollars. I'm proud to say sewage has not sneaked up on my toes in the shower for well over a year now :) Sam has now also installed an ice maker line to my new fridge and installed a new sink for me. My entire family calls Sam in any plumbing crisis and I can't recommend him enough!

I called Sam at about 11am because my kitchen sink wasn't draining properly. He was able to come the same day at 6pm and look at it, which was awesome since my husband had been working on it all morning and couldn't fix it.
Turns out that there was a clogged pipe under the house that had cracked and was leaking. Sam said he could fix it but needed some parts, so he left and was back in about 30 mins with everything he needed to finish the job! By 8:30 pm I was able to turn on the dishwasher and get the dishes done that had piled up!
Sam and his helper did a great job! They cleaned up and took the clogged section of pipe with them so I didn't have to deal with getting rid of it! I'm so happy I called them!

Absolutely excellent! Friendly, fast and knowledgeable. Price was very reasonable. Sam has 15 years of experience and it shows. I would recommend him without hesitation.

My water heater had a leak due to some earlier installer using inferior parts. He has excellent attention to detail and very thorough.

Arrived in less than the 30 minutes he said it would take and was done in less than the 45 minutes he estimated it would take. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Sam and his company just simply the best ,,,,the service and their integrity is above and beyond , we will always use smart rooter . I had a toilet back up and needed it snaked post haste....Jim was over first thing in the morning and got it fixed and was reasonably priced and did not try to up sell me on anything. He worked for one of the big guys for 13 years and can do anything. He has been on his own now for a few years. Call him call him call him.....you won't be disappointed and will save you money compared to the big guys. Thanks again Jim!

A knob broke off for my hot/cold water filter last night. Water was spilling everywhere and got into the kitchen cabinet and under the kitchen floor. I had to shut the water to the house from the outside. I called several plumbers and they were busy to come out. I asked my father if he knew someone. He referred me to Jim. I called him and without any hesitation, he came right away to help me out. He was able to help to help me diagnose the issue, fix it, and also provided me with running water throughout the whole house and especially the kitchen. Jim was really patient and professional the entire time. I was able to take a shower and get a good night's rest because of Jim. His prices are definitely fair and reasonable like others have said in their reviews. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs help and I will not hesitate to call him next time for any plumbing needs.

I originally found this business through word of mouth! So glad I did too.

Jim is knowledgeable and a hard worker. He's worked on repairs for 3 other homes close to my friend's home. The first time i tried to book him, he was busy and we had to find an alternative plumber. We were dissatisfied with the service at the end of the job because it was a mess and I felt ripped off.

Jim's pricing is fair and he gets the job done right. He'll quote you the price up front and won't track dirt in your house :P He cleared the clogged pipes in my home in a timely manner.

I recommend everyone to have Smart Rooter service your home and be sure to ask for Jim!
