I called due to my septic not draining. the crew was supposed to meet on Tuesday morning around 8 and ended up showing up at 2 P.M. I was asked by employees from Smart Plumbing who installed my septic system. I gladly gave them the information, the employee immediately started talked bad about them and saying they do horrible work and cut corners, (which is unprofessional), use cheap quality tanks and materials. (this is not true of the company I used). the employee began to say that she ran the camera down the pipe (full of murky water, which makes it really hard to see the video) and that it was crushed due to my toy hauler. (which was not even on the line) and that they backfilled the trench with large rocks and debris. not sure how they would know this since they did not dig up the trench. Then the employee began to tell me it looks like my septic tank was out of level (which is covered with dirt)
and the only way to fix it was to replace it, but they would have to come back the next day and dig the dirt off the top and run a level to check it. this would have been added cost to check something that was not necessary. they also did not reinstall the filter in the tank, it was left on the ground in hopes I was going to pay them to come back for all this extra work. this made me feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. I asked the office if I could speak with the owner about what was going on due to the field employee being rude after I told her that her findings were not what was wrong. the owner never returned my call and I still payed the over inflated bill they charged me.

Called Smart Plumbing on a Saturday during a holiday weekend with an emergency clogged drain. Dispatch was very responsive and even stayed in touch until the crew showed up. The technicians were very professional and personable, diagnosed the issue right away and explained what they were doing throughout. I highly recommend this great family owned and operated company with great work ethic.
