After contacting other Plumbing companies who were very rude and unprofessional I reached to Smart Choice and was given great customer service! Keith responded quickly and was very professional! What family had major backed up plumbing issues during Covid Shelter-in-Place on a Sunday? Us. Our toilets, bathtubs, sinks were all backed up and who was going to be open and available? Keith at Smart Choice was over within 3 hours to assess our situation. Mind you, we received a quote to redo our pipes from another reputable company with over 100 yelp reviews years ago for 4 times the price we paid today. Within 24 hours, Keith and his team were back to use cameras, ladder, get in our crawl space, and do the damn thing. He not only resolved our housewide plumbing shutdown, but he found an economical solution to help our drainage issues longterm. He executed and delivered within 24 hours of our desperate call.

And there is just something so friendly and honest with Keith and his family owned, local business. Is it normal to want to be friends with your plumber?

I highly recommend Smart Choice Plumbing! I can't say more words of praise for Keith (the owner). I was visiting my father's home last Christmas in Saratoga, and Murphy's Law struck, right on Christmas morning! First the toilets backed up, then everything else! It was horrible. Keith came within about an hour of our emergency call to save us. He cleared up the immediate blockage, so everything was functioning again and then advised us that we had big roots in multiple places compromising the external 50+ year-old pipes running from the house to the public system; he also recommended a permanent fix to avoid the problem from happening again. He explained everything very clearly, showing me everything on a camera snaked into the pipes, so that we were well-informed on the situation. We subsequently decided to use him to replace those pipes as a permanent solution, and he not only did a great job at a reasonable price, but he was also very courteous and efficient. He did such an excellent job, that we decided to use him once more to additionally replace the old main pipe under the house that was in danger of failing, before it could cause another more expensive disaster. He also replaced the old water heater and brought the heater piping up to current code. A few other things of note: while at the house, as a courtesy, Keith pointed out several other non-plumbing issues that he noticed (e.g., dying tree, safety issues); he also did a few additional things to help my elderly father out, without charging extra $; finally, my father, who is very particular about things being done right, was highly impressed with Keith's work and his outstanding service and customer-first orientation. He is not only effective at what he does, but also a very decent person who strives to do the best job that he can.

Keith is very professional and very courteous. Our whole house was clogged one night. He came out bright and early the next morning to locate the clog and create a clean-out line (our house didn't have one yet). Unfortunately, our main line was made of a cardboard-like material that had collapsed, so it had to be replaced. Keith and his crew worked all day even in the rain to dig a trench and replace our main sewer line. They did really great work, and Keith sent me updates via text message the whole time. Highly recommended!

I don't post Yelp reviews frequently, but the exceptional service we received from Keith and Smart Choice Plumbing really warranted my time to write this review and tell the community about him.

Late Thursday night, we discovered that a copper pipe under our house in Palo Alto had sprung a leak. It was located in a very hard to reach spot in a crawl space, behind a water heater and was surrounded by insulation, so it was hard to tell how much water was leaking.

We were planning to go out of town on Friday afternoon, so were very worried that we'd need to cancel our trip.

I found Smart Choice Plumbing through a google search, and called at 10:30 pm Thursday night. Keith picked up immediately and was able to schedule us for the next morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate and then fixed the leak by replacing the broken pipe. He was in and out within 2 hours and the final price came in at the low end of his estimate.

Keith was extremely curious and professional. He walked me through the repair work he did and gave us advice on contacting our insurance company and water damage restoration contractors.

Could not recommend Keith more.

Keith is definitely a true professional in the industry and will do what it takes to make his customers happy. We had a clogged sink one day and then an old leaky garbage disposal the very next day as I didn't notice it the first time. Keith answered the phone right away when I called as more than not, businesses let their phones go to voicemail but not at Smart Plumbing! Keith came out within 2 hours on a holiday and then was back the next morning early when our garbage disposal of 30 years went bad and we called again. I have dealt with a lot of contractors throughout the years and Keith takes GREAT care of his customers so you won't ever want or need to call a different plumber. He puts the customer first and sacrifices his own needs for his customers. He knows his stuff and tells it like it is in simple terms. Way to go Keith!!!!!!
