This company is great!! my AC unit failed during a 105 degree temperatures, i knew what part failed and was able to find it here and have it ready to be picked up within 30 minutes of me calling. the price for the part was the same as on amazon except i didn't need to wait for the two day shipping etc. etc.

As a regular customer for Slakey Brothers San Jose, I have always and consistently found that both their customer service over the phone and in person has been very easy to do business with.

The manager (Ken Varnes) also sends us emails (as a regular customer of theirs) in regards to upcoming price increases due to the tariffs and an ETA for the effective date. As of late these notifications from the manufacturer are quite often and it is important to note that it isn't easy to notify customers that prices are going up and perhaps that is why their competition rarely sends out these notices, but just surprises us with a higher invoice.

This notification give us and our customers a heads up of any pending increases so we can take advantage of the pre-tariff pricing.

Slakey Brothers, SJ is building loyal customers one contact at a time.

Poor warranty on items. Bought a wall furnace ,it had defective burner. Made me buy a new one said it will be covered and I will get money back but after one month and a week NOTHING. I do not recommend this business!!!!!!

They have a decent selection. Employees are nice enough but expect to be here for a looooong time. From the time you get there to the time you get your product you ordered is absolutely pathetic.

Great experience after several other competitors refused to sell product to me (they sell only to contractors).
Bought an Motor Run capacitor (45/5 Microfarads, 440V AC) at a price that we cannot get online. If ever you need HVAC/plumbing supplies/tools, Slakey is there for you.

Was referred to this place by the garden gopher to get some 10' ducting as they didn't have what I needed st Home Depot. Got here at 4:28 after driving from 30 min away. The guy in the shop refused to sell me the parts I needed because they closed at 4:30. I pointed out it was 4:28 and he said actually they registers at 4:15. Now I'm headed back empty handed with workers waiting fir the parts. I'm going to order the parts on Amazon which is sad. I tried to support a local shop first.
Not coming back here.

I'm a HVAC contractor and this supply house has everything you need. However, the customer service and wait time to receive any item is ridiculous. It's about a 30 min wait time minimum, even if you call in your order hours ahead and tell them exactly what time you'll be picking it up. After placing the order over the phone they'll say, ""it'll be out there waiting for you when you get here"". I've been coming here for a while now and they have not done that once the whole time here. Most of the staff here is friendly

The part that a previous supply store gave me was broken and since I had taken the last one I needed to find a new supply store. In comes Slakey Brothers. Most supply stores (like the one I had visited that morning) do not allow normal people in their store, most cater only to contractors. Slakey Brothers will sell parts to normal people.

So in I go, with my broken water heater part and my dog, and pick up my part. The entire office lit up when they saw my Golden Retriever. You know that a person is good if they like dogs (and if they dog likes them back). My dog was in heaven weaving through all the cubes and demanding affection from everyone as I filled out warranty paperwork.

It was a good experience coming here.
