HVAC wholesalers in general don't provide superb service IMO. That's hardly surprising given the thin margins they operate on and the highly volatile nature of the HVAC business. It's brutal sometimes. When it's a thousand degrees outside customers beat up contractors and contractors beat up their suppliers. Think about that before complaining, ay contractors?

Anywho, I've patronized Slakey for the last 28 years. If we're to grade on the ""HVAC wholesaler curve"", they're top notch IMO. Their prices for the things I buy from them are excellent and their customer service is every bit as good as their primary competitors. I particularly like their online ordering system. All of that makes them one of my top three local suppliers.

Great company, great service. No one's perfect, but as a professional in the HVAC/Plumbing industry, their support is very good. They can usually find it if they don't have it, and the staff is always courteous and friendly. Pricing is fair, and they're good about alternate options.

I called office in Martinez asking if they have A/C line set in stock. Guy who answered phone seemed high or drunk and totally uninterested to answer questions.
I needed 3/8 3/4 line set and he said they don't carry those sizes. Its weird bec I saw it online and they do have. Then he continued to talk with slurred speech and not understandable.
I just went online and got line set . Also half the price then Slakey has it for.
