Gold star review alert!!! As you may/may not know, it's an honor to be a Yelp Elite reviewer. I get to help others, looking for services or restaurants or experiences, find a good one through my experiences. It's such a thrill (and relief) to find the perfect business.
I will admit that my eye tends to drift toward those businesses that have been around a long time and have lots of reviews. That's great and they've earned it. This time I added one that does not have a lot of reviews. Most of these businesses, are usually new, such as in this case.
We noticed a leak was coming out of the front lawn onto the driveway. While it looked small, it turned out to be a 1/4 gallon per minute leak (confirmed by Epcor). So, onto Yelp to find a plumber. I chose about 5. While many contacted us pretty quickly, others did not. Our first plumber came out and immediately quoted a replacement of the entire water main from meter to house. This would involve: busting up driveway, lots of backhoe work and then, new driveway section. How much? About $9000. Ouch.
Taylor came out afterwards and immediately offered a suggestion. For a nominal price, he could dig down to actually see the problem and offer a resolution. Brilliant!
We have the go ahead and he and his helper, found the leak. A small break in the pvc. He fixed it and it costs a fraction of what someone quoted without knowing what the problem was. Taylor is an honest, hardworking guy with an awesome assistant. It's hard enough to find competent plumbers out there. Even harder to find hardworking and honest ones.
I'm going overboard on this review because this was the difference between a huge quote, problem unseen, to something that requires some work to see the problem, diagnose and then fix it.
Give this guy a chance and you will also sing praises for his work. I found our plumber for life!!!

Taylor was here when he said he would be and is friendly & kind! Super efficient and cleaned the mess from changing two bathroom faucets ! Very reasonably priced & even helped me with a small handyman fix! Hire him!!!

Our toilets clogged in the middle of the night in both bathrooms due to a plug up from a pile up of non solubles wipes causing back flow into the showers and tubs. So we were super desperate to get an honest affordable plumber in to resolve the issue ASAP ! Not only was Slade's plumbing immediately responsive they also were willing to drive up and service us that night! I would highly highly recommend this honest business above all others that not only wanted me to wait for a couple days for the next available appointment but then to try and charge me an arm and a leg for what this company did immediately at more than half the price! A very nice guy came out to give us a quote on replacing an electric water heater but admitted that he's not installed a residential heater only commercial. I already had 2 quotes from other companies who gave me a written invoice noting certain things would need to be replaced. Those items identified were not identified by this gentleman and I did not feel that confident in hiring him. He advised she was license but not bonded. But the company was extremely receptive in coming out timely so I must give them kudos for that

Taylor came out to our house same day, he was very communicative and responsive. He was able to help solve an issue with a leaky faucet in our shower. He responded quickly to my questions via text, showed up on time and was very professional. Highly recommend!

I woke up to an awful smell in my house on Sunday morning. I had a water sensor on my sump pump go off the night before, and our house reeked (like downtown San Francisco) the next day. I realized that the pump wasn't pumping the dirty water away. Instead, water started to pool through the corroded lid at the top of the pump under the stairs.
It is hard to find a great plumber. I asked my neighbors for referrals; they're all gone from the area. So I finally went to Yelp and put in a request showing my problem.
I had various ""quotes,"" some were upwards of $2,500, sight unseen.
Reminder, this all went down on a Sunday. Taylor was one of the few that offered to look (on Sunday) and give me an estimate to fix my problem.
Taylor was excellent from when I chatted with him on Yelp, estimating when he could ""look"" at the problem to when he showed up and started working on the pump. He showed up with his helper.
My house reeked, but he just powered thru, not one complaint; I was gagging.
He pulled off the top, pulled out the pump, cleared the disgusting adult diaper and cloths that had been flushed down the toilet by my Alzheimer-ridden mother, and then put a temporary cover on the sump pump to reduce any odors.
Quickly, my house smelled normal again, and he showed up a few days later with a custom lid and installed it while fixing all the ""Weird piping"" we had under the stairs.
The whole thing cost less than 1/4 of the estimate the other plumbers gave and was solved in record time, professionally, with no stress and a great attitude.
Taylor is my go-to plumber and handyman going forward!

Taylor is awesome!!! My garbage disposal went out and sent requests to many businesses on this very app. I got quotes back asking for $125-$375. Taylor was the only one that tried to walk me through on fixing it myself. (I, of course was unable to do so). Taylor came by 2 hours later and fixed it in less then 5 minutes. He definitely didn't charge me anything close to the other quotes I got. I will definitely be calling Taylor again for any of my plumbing issues. Highly recommend.
