I had a plumbing disaster last week and called Sky Plumbing. They were very quick to respond and were at my home in about an hour. The plumber fixed the original problem with my kitchen sink (clog), but after he left, I looked at it a little closer and saw a slight leak. It wasn't that big of a deal, all I had to do was tighten the pipe a little and it was fine. I also had a problem with my guest toilet (running a lot and hard to flush) and he told me that to repair it would be as expensive as buying a new toilet and that I would be better off installing a new one. I told him I would think about it since he had solved the major problem (hand towel that was accidentally flushed). I had my handy man over today to do something and I asked him if he could install the toilet for me. He looked at it and said that all I needed was to replace one part. The part was about $20, which is a HUGE difference from $300 the plumber from Sky estimated. I was a little disappointed and I don't think that I will be using them again.

Hired this company for a very simple job. Arrived one hour late. Plumber stayed on the cell phone the entire time he was here. Job was a 10 minute job. Stayed approximately 30 minutes and 20 of that was on the phone. Charged $85. I understand flat-fee minimum charges, and I expected that, but that rate is higher than the average here, and the behavior of the plumber was just unbelievable. I had to leave the room because if I saw him take one more phone call, I was going to lose it. Could have complained, but the plumber who was at the job was the """"service manager"""", and that is truly an oxymoron in this case.
