We've used Sketchley and Mason on 3 occasions now. Twice for the hot water heater and once for the toilet. Each time they arrived on time and as promised. The workmanship was great and the professionalism was great. These are very knowledgeable and very skilled people who take pride in their work. I enjoyed working with Jason and with Jeff, but their technicians are good too. Both I believe are partners in the business and both are beyond knowledgeable with different perspectives. Jason is contemporary and Jeff is old school. They are both very generous with their time and knowledge. Jason has a deep and broad range of knowledge that goes beyond plumbing/contracting and Jeff has a deep and broad range of knowledge within everything contracting related. Overall, I believe they're among the best in their craft. If there is one thing I'd ding them on is the fact that they come with bare bones supplies. That likely helps them reduce inventory cost but all 3 times now they've had to go get a missing part (I don't believe it's at all intentional, it's just how they operate), but it ended up being part of the labor cost. I believe the next time I will make sure they come with all the supplies or I'll have to negotiate that they bear the brunt of the cost of getting these missing parts. And we'll have to discuss this ahead of time - my house is on the older side so I'll need them to really look carefully at what they'll need ahead of time. Other than that they were a pleasure to work with and I really enjoyed the conversations we've had. Jeff is especially pleasant and I'd obviously use them again and not just for plumbing.

Sketchley & Mason have been servicing us for years. They are the only plumbers we call now because they have earned our trust and loyal business with great people, fair and honest prices, professional and courteous service every time they come. Over the years they have cleaned out drains, replaced broken and leaking pipes, repaired gas leaks and replaced our hot water heater. I give them our highest recommendation.

Great mom and pop company, wow they've been around for 100 years. Established in 1921, fair priced and quick in response. Had an emergency with a busted water pipe can they came out right away to take care of it thanks guys

So, I've had two different plumbers come out from this company to help me with two different things. They were so great! I can't tell you how wonderful it is to find honest help and they stand by their work. This company does other types of jobs as well. If you have anything, call them first! You will be so glad that you did b

Very happy to share my experience with Sketchley & Mason. They are my go to plumbers, especially when the issue can be difficult or complex (for 20 years now). I had a second story simultaneous blockage in my master bath sinks. A first in over 20 years of living in my home. Having had two other companies out (because of my homeowner warranty policy) who both tried snaking the lines, unsuccessfully, I reached out to S&M. (The best way to contact them is via email, they respond very quickly.). Kevin called me back right away, discussed the problem at length and then came out the very next morning. He tried snaking the line without success and also mentioned potentially needing to break open the walls to get to the ""T"" (both prior plumbers also said the same). However, Kevin really tried to avoid that route. He snaked again and was able to clear the lines without wall/floor/cabinet damage. I cannot say how much we appreciate his skill, knowledge, patience, pricing and care. He really cares about his customers and doing a great job. Thanks so much!!!!

The guys are amazing! they took care of a leak in our waterline , also fixed my fountain really knowledgeable are reasonably priced.

I recommend this place it my family's company.
Educated plumbers been around for an honorable amount of time.

I was referred by a neighbor who has used Sketchley for business and home plumbing. He said they were the best. I called and left two messages, for service and an estimate for slow drains. They did not return either call.

I actually helped navigate my friend to this business when her plumbing was acting up. She had purchased a condo with a second bedroom / bathroom addition: unfortunately whoever installed the plumbing used a straight pipe to connect the new bathroom onto the main line. After about a month, her toilet and shower would overflow in the addition because the water was pooling in the straight pipe and not draining properly. This would require some major work.
These guys were extremely professional in their assessment and overall solution: a new pipe would need to be connected onto the existing drain and fed into the sewer down by the street. They were careful with their excavation, digging up only as much concrete and soil in her front yard as needed. I ended up watching her house while she was at work and can't commend these guys enough for their hard work and positive demeanor.

These plumbers shceduled me 3 times and I took off work to wait for them on the 3rd time they flaked and wouldnt answer my calls then they showed up the day after gave me a bid of $1500 per toilet to repair my pull chain toilets (you could buy a new one for 1/2 that) I lost $900 of work that week and repaired the toilets myself for less than $100 dollars .I would not recommend them for anything besides draining your bank account
