Sketchley & Mason was amazing. They took care of a huge plumbing problem at my home. I had had other plumbers come and give me an analysis and estimate for repairing my problem. The cost estimates made me freak out. I thought I was going to have to take out a second mortgage on my home. Not really, but seriously it was scary and I didn't know if I could trust them.

Along came Jason Riddle and his crew from Sketchley & Mason. They thoroughly evaluated my problem using their state of the art technology. They found the problem and the solution, and made the repairs at a fraction of the cost other plumbers quoted.

I am so pleased with their work. They are a kind hearted company with high integrity, and solid values. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to do a plumbing job to code, without cutting corners, and getting the job done right.

Most every time we have needed a plumber, it has been an emergency. They are always responsive, prompt and knowledgeable. From a leak in the foundation, to leaks in our backyard drip watering system, to our most recent hot water heater needing urgent replacement, they are the best. We have worked with Jeff and his crew several times and have always been very pleased. Jeff definitely knows his stuff and is great at explaining options. I had used S & M in the past and had a good result. This time, it didn't work out quite right. I needed several things done. I needed a new regulator installed, I wanted to have my laundry supply and drain lines inset into the wall and I needed an irrigation manifold replumbed and a regulator installed in it.

The plumber came out and took care of the regulator. The cost was a little on the pricey side but not outrageous. I should have just called the Home Warranty company for the fix though.

I walked him around the other jobs and he said he'd have an estimate for me in a day or two. Two days later I text and no response. I call and no response.

So I called another plumber.

We've used Sketchley and Mason on 3 occasions now. Twice for the hot water heater and once for the toilet. Each time they arrived on time and as promised. The workmanship was great and the professionalism was great. These are very knowledgeable and very skilled people who take pride in their work. I enjoyed working with Jason and with Jeff, but their technicians are good too. Both I believe are partners in the business and both are beyond knowledgeable with different perspectives. Jason is contemporary and Jeff is old school. They are both very generous with their time and knowledge. Jason has a deep and broad range of knowledge that goes beyond plumbing/contracting and Jeff has a deep and broad range of knowledge within everything contracting related. Overall, I believe they're among the best in their craft. If there is one thing I'd ding them on is the fact that they come with bare bones supplies. That likely helps them reduce inventory cost but all 3 times now they've had to go get a missing part (I don't believe it's at all intentional, it's just how they operate), but it ended up being part of the labor cost. I believe the next time I will make sure they come with all the supplies or I'll have to negotiate that they bear the brunt of the cost of getting these missing parts. And we'll have to discuss this ahead of time - my house is on the older side so I'll need them to really look carefully at what they'll need ahead of time. Other than that they were a pleasure to work with and I really enjoyed the conversations we've had. Jeff is especially pleasant and I'd obviously use them again and not just for plumbing.

Great mom and pop company, wow they've been around for 100 years. Established in 1921, fair priced and quick in response. Had an emergency with a busted water pipe can they came out right away to take care of it thanks guys
