SJ Rooter & Plumbing (Johnny) was worth my time and well worth the money.

I had called and set an appointment with another very large, well known plumbing company in Houston. First, they gave me a 2 hour window of arrival. After no one arrived, I called, only to find out that the "technician is just finishing up on another job and will be there soon." Three hours later (a total of 5 hours), I told them to forget it. I never received a phone call or email of an apology or offer to reschedule.

I called another company this week, but after reading the Yelp reviews, decided to keep searching.

I am so glad I did. SJ Rooter & Plumbing will get all of our plumbing business as long as we live in Houston. Take my word, and the word of the other 160+ 5-Star reviewers:

I've had Johnny over for plumbing work twice now and would definitely call him back. He did a faucet install, water shut-off install, toilet repairs and shower control fix. For the shower he was willing to work with the existing control and made a very old and frozen control like new again! This saved me lots of money as other plumbing companies wanted to take out the shower surround completely which would have run into the thousands.

Johnny really knows what he's doing. He was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him!

He was available to come by after a few hours of calling! Fixed what we needed and then helped let us know how to better fix our shower plumbing, and had trouble myself which made me call again and he was there in few hours again!

I live in Sugar Land. Texted Johnny on Saturday and he called back quickly to set up an appointment. Next Monday Johnny showed up on time and gave me a fair price for my project. My project included replacing a kitchen facet, caulking sink, replacing 4 valves (3 under sink and 1 for toilet). My cabinet under the sink has a vertical bar in center, and it wasn't easy to crawl in. Luckily his build is a perfect fit into that narrow space. During his work I noticed he is a meticulous person, starting from vacuuming debris on the floor under the sink, very professionally. When he disassembled PVC pipes under sink, he noticed there could be potential clog and took them out to clean up. After his job was done, he inspected valves in other toilets and fixed some issues left by previous plumber for toilet washer replacement. I paid him a little bit more than he asked for - he deserved it! He is the owner/plumber, which means you will have the service from the owner himself rather than a newbie technician - a big plus! BTW Johnny can speak Vietnamese and Chinese, and we have a good population of Asians in our community. Job well done and Johnny definitely has earned my next business!
