Stay away! Worked with this company through American Home Shield. They also go by Sina plumbing drain service and Illinois plumbing drain service. Needed a water heater replaced and they told me pipe modifications were estimated $1200. I have an older house and they said they didn't know how big the tank would be. My contract with AHS says I'm responsible for modifications so I paid for pipe modifications, thinking they had to cut or add a lot of pipe, not knowing that the ""out of pocket costs"" was the difference that AHS doesn't pay them. The plumber came and locked his keys in his truck, which took a while to unlock, and they did an hour's worth of work. He left his trash and they ended up cutting 2 pipes, which is not $1200 worth of modifications. They also wanted to leave me with the tank to dispose of. I asked for a detailed final invoice and they told me the charge of the $1200 was what the insurance doesn't cover of their regular fee of $2200. AHS told me no modifications were needed when I called them for the final invoice and it wasn't until I asked the plumbers for the final invoice that they sent something to AHS saying it was $1200 worth of ""pipe modifications"". I complained that the modifications they did were not $1200 worth. AHS and Sina/SPG gave me the run around. I understand the job normally costs a certain amount, but if AHS doesn't pay the plumbers what they're worth they need to take that up with the warranty company instead of charging me the extra amount and calling it ""pipe modifications"" to justify them getting paid. Spoke with Kevin Yazdani and Sina Yazdani (Sam) and neither one wanted to give me a final detailed invoice of what the charges were. They kept saying I was responsible for out of pocket costs that the company didn't cover, which under my contract I only need to cover modifications. It wasn't until I told them I was going to write a review that they offered to send a final invoice of the breakdown and cost of the work they did. Pretty sure the numbers will be over exaggerated to justify $1200 of modifications. Stay away from any company they own and stay away from American Home Shield.
Not to be trusted, over charged me thousands of dollars for a job I needed to have done 2 months later for a few hundred bucks.
SHADY AF. I usually never do reviews even when I'm less than pleased with a service, but these people have definitely pushed my buttons. I requested an emergency service for my water heater one night . They took so long to come out that my husband just ended up fixing the issue himself. We called these idiots to let them know that ""hey you don't have to come anymore IF it's leaking in the morning we'll call you between 8-9"" . These mf came out anyways and I wasn't even home. They blew my line up and even had the audacity to text me and I quote , ""why'd we schedule this if no one's home "" . Where I then had to call explain to the fucker that I'm an on call nurse and emergencies happens and furthermore that we never confirmed anything. Clearly said we'd call if we needed them and furthermore it's fucking unprofessional to try and scold and hackle someone for not needing a service anymore. To make matters worst they still charged me a fee for coming out even though I told them the night before that I didn't need it . I called to let them know and the mf again had the audacity to be sooooooooooo incredibly rude and told my husband that we run a business not a charity and hung up in our face . I ended up having to call my bank to report fraud to my card AND called the BBB because they constantly called my phone days later trying to solicit me to get the service saying "" oh the picture we took on FaceTime doesn't look good that pipe going to explode "" after me constantly saying I don't need it . Harassment at its absolute finest. We had 2 plumbers come out to inspect the work my husband did and they both said that it was just fine and that's exactly how it's supposed to be done . Please stay away from theses mf because I swear they will ripe you clean tf off
Mopsie B.Wow, wow, wow. This company is SHADY. Stay far away. We called what we thought was Flader and somehow got this insanity. A guy answered the phone, ""Plumbing Services."" That should have been the first clue that it wasn't Flader but my husband agreed to pay a non-refundable $85 to have an appointment scheduled this morning. A man showed up in an unmarked truck, with no uniform. He took a look at our clogged drain and quoted $345!!! Wanted to do all of this extra stuff. My husband then discovered that SPG/Sina charged, without authorization, another $290 to his card!! We sent this guy away and demanded a refund. We then got another plumber in to come right away, who changed $120 and took about 10 minutes to fix it. Reporting on to the BBB and my husband had to call and demand a refund for the $290, which is we got. SPG/Sina shouldn't be in business.
Steve S.Just terrible. They came to fix a leak and left me with no water at all. Couldn't even install the pipe fittings correctly and refused to offer a refund despite not fixing the leak! I had to get a different plumber, you should too
Was not provided with a detailed receipt of work done. Unnecessary work done and pipes not requiring replacement per insurance mitigator. BEWARE
Kevin B.This company is disrespectful and has terrible service. They tried charging 1500$ and insisted that the money was given up front before the job was even started. Went and got another estimate for the same job and the gentlemen said 500$ tops. We asked where he got 1500$ from and he said ""I'm a business man like you..."". They try to rip people off and over charge tremendously and I'm sure many people fall for it. Definitely explore your options if you have plumbing issues.
Julia L.The hot water hose under my kitchen sink broke at 3 a.m., flooding my apartment with over a half inch of standing hot water and filling the rooms with steam. I'm a renter but my landlord and the building super didn't respond at all to calls and knocks, etc, so I called the first emergency plumber I could find online.
Kevin from Sina Plumbing was at my place in the city about a half hour after I called. He immediately turned off the water so that he could assess the situation and we could discuss the fix, since I was paying for this, but rent and don't have renter's insurance. He gave me an immediate fix but made a number of recommendations. He explained his professional opinion and offered to speak to my landlord about the damage and problems.
Kevin was professional, kind, conscientious, and truly saved me from a dire situation. I hope I never have a plumbing emergency again, but if I do, I'm definitely calling this guy again.
They came to fix a shower faucet that wouldn't turn off. I ended up with a broken handle put on backwards and the other shower heads in the shower won't turn off at all and only spray cold water . In addition, they put a deep surface scrath in the travertine tile from the tools they used. When we called to have them remedy everything, THEY WOULDNT DO IT!! THEY STARTED YELLING AT ME!!! Then literally threatened me that he was coming to my house!! I'm so appalled that there are people like this out there.
The receptionist wouldbt even give me the owners name!! Then i learned she is one if the owners. AHHHHHH.. So we are taking them to small claims court and have no desire to do that...
We were also told it was $150 to fix another issue with our kitchen faucet when it was just the tightening ring located on this particular waterstone faucet to adjust tension yourself. Point is, it wasn't broken at all. I called Where I purchased the faucet and they told me. And then another $250 to rod out the sink drain that was causing the dishwasher to back up.. That also was wrong. It was perfectly clean when the Miele repair man came out.. So we would've been out all that additional money for no reason. Sad how terrible and poorly business are run today. A lot of other companies to use.. So save yourself the trouble. I am also contacting the BBB but that won't get my money back. I hope people read reviews before they hire this plumber.
I used them to replace a second sum-pump. Their price compared to a local contractor was lower. Since then I used them for several other projects and even remodeling unrelated to plumbing. Usually they're my first suggestions for referals.
