Steve Simms and his excellent team have provided all of the plumbing for our property (3 wells) as well as the plumbing on our newly constructed residence. They do great work and are extremely reliable and concerned about getting things done right. There are some systems you don't want to make a big mistake on installation and maintenance - plumbing is one of them. Steve knows his stuff and has done a remarkable job of assembling and training a great local team to meet the needs of the community. It just doesn't get any better than this when it comes to managing water.

Simms plumbing came out to do estimates on repairs after our home inspection when we were buying a house. This included running PVC pipe to multiple sump pumps to the exterior, and fixing some corroded piping under the house. The guys that came out were great-- they communicated well and just got busy fast. I felt good enough about the situation I went to work, and they locked up nicely behind them.
Their pricing seems reasonable and they did a great job-sure we will be using them again next time.

Top Notch... it took a while however they were able to find a difficult to find lid for a pump. The current lid had rusted through and contents were not being contained [very messy business]. Work was done immediately. The only issue was that I had to keep calling. They said they would call back but then didn't. It is understandable..they are busy.... but this happened more than once or twice. However, I wouldn't hesitate and I will call them out again for any plumbing need! They are thorough, clean up was immaculate, and they were on time for the service call.

We were NOT satisfied with Simm's. We explained we needed to get an estimate for water heater and toilet work in a trailer, they sent a tech out to the site(!) and after several calls because they didn't call us, and waiting more than a week with a very bad toilet situation, we finally found out when we pressed, that they don't even carry parts, get parts, or do work on trailers!! Couldn't that have been told to us before they even came out, or made us wait??

My water heater went out the same morning a tree limb feel on my roof. It wasn't a good day. I called Simm's Plumbing and asking if they could come out that morning to replace the water heater that day. But I would not be at home. They said that they would try to get someone out. When I got home the water heater was replaced. Everything was cleaned up. I had hot water. Wow! How nice. So little effort. By the way the tree limb was removed by another company and no damage to my roof. it turned out to be a good day.

I'm extremely satisfied with Steve Simms! I'm a new homeowner in Montara with a private well. Steve did a well inspection before I purchased the home, which I had the previous owners pay for. But after I moved in, as a first time well owner, I called Steve to enquire about the test results and how to maintain the well. Not only did Steve explain the test results, he came to my home personally to explain how the well works and how to maintain it - well beyond my expectations.

Today I noticed some problems with my water pressure and found that the storage tank was depleted - some problem with the pump occured without my noticing and now I had no water to my home. And it was a Saturday. I called Simms Plumbing and left a voicemail, not expecting to hear from them until office hours resumed on Monday. But, I got a call from Steve within a few hours. Steve talked me through the troubleshooting on the phone, and we were able to resolve the issue! Water back on! Awesome! I thought I was going to go the weekend without water, but thanks to Steve's promptness and knowledge, I'm back in business. Thanks Steve!
