I've used Silverman for 10 years. They installed and service my hot water heater and radiant flooring and installed a water uv purification system and water softener.

Just called them for a leaky bathroom sink (not originally installed by them) and Chris identified the problem and fixed it quickly. He then went and checked the rest of the bathroom sinks and kitchen sink and fixed those too, as they had been poorly installed and were already experiencing small leaks.

They are a good company with expert mechanics and excellent service. I would highly recommend them for anyone living in the area.

AJ did an excellent job during a boiler emergency call visit- very professional- able to address the problem on the spot- had all equipment and necessary parts- saved the day and the start of a very cold spring vacation.

Apparently this company changed ownership !
I used silverman mechanical for over 20 years and never had a problem. I found Steve Silverman and his group to be professional, accommodating and reasonably priced for their services. All that has changed now !!
They sent a service man out to my property without telling me anything about a change in owership or change in fees. They sent me a bill for almost $400 for their guy to look at the problem but not to fix it !!!
Then, I got an estimate to repair it that was astronomical.
I will not be using Silverman mechanical anymore.

They showed up on time and did the work but charged over a THOUSAND DOLLARS for a job that took two hours and only used a piece of PVC and fittings. They also have a service fee of around 70.00 that gets tacked on to every visit- if they come out but do not have the materials, you pay an extra 70.00 PLUS the regular hourly charge, and then 70.00 AGAIN (is this even legal??) on top of this new repair charge again. I was afraid he would go out to lunch and then charge me 70.00 the third time just to come back into the house. This is really a horrible way to treat people, I have changed plumbers because of this.

Just had my water filter changed. I had the filter and everything else ready to go, as I used to do this myself (before arthritis). Silverman charged me $215 dollars, and the guy was here for about 5 minutes. Sickening. That works out to be over $2500/hour. They should be ashamed.

Does not keep word and unprofessional. I was trying to get Silverman to repair heating in our home for the past 3 months. I was selling the house and needed to make repairs before sale. I was promised multiple times that they would attend to the matter. I was given multiple excuses - busy, the owner who was the expert was on vacation (but returned last month), they would call back (but never did), no one available now but would attend to the matter in few days. I never received a single call back despite promises to do so. Many excuses later, I was 3 days away from my deadline when after few calls their receptionist informed me that they would not come. Very unprofessionally canceling on us at the last minute; costing us in time and money waiting for them and trying to get another vendor. Did not even apologize for keeping us waiting for months or have the courtesy of informing us that they had no intention of coming.

I have used Silverman to open and close my house for the season for the last 5+ years. They always delivery on what they promise. Always pleasant on the phone and in person. I highly recommend them.

this is a great place for heating problems. woke up yesterday freezing today all was fine mechanics are great,know what they are doing professional and proficient.
