Very happy with the new well pump and hot water heater installed by Ulysses. He was able to quickly understand and evaluate the unusually complicated multi- redundant systems at my parents' house, and recommend an energy efficient solution to the immediate issues, as well as some future projects. Ulysses addressed all my questions and concerns in an easy to understand way. I'll definitely ask for Ulysses again when proceeding with more projects in coming months.

I used to use Silverman all the time. Last time I called them, just to change the filter on my water system (I provide the filter and the tool), it took the guy 5 minutes. Cost? $215. Always used to be 40 bucks. I understand that they added a $69 visit charge just for showing up. Fine. But $215????

I have called Silverman on multiple occasions over the past 20 years....well pump, sceptic pump, water heater...all rush calls. They have been fast (even coming on weekends), professional, and have done good work. I highly recommend them.

I was referred to Silverman by family for a small leak under my kitchen sink. The very first thing I noticed was one of the women who answer the phone was not friendly at all. I almost hung just trying to schedule someone for an estimate. But based on family I proceeded.
A man came out and looked under my kitchen sink and in the basement underneath. He said I would get the estimate. I needed to wait for the estimate to come in the mail, then call and schedule. The first day I called to schedule I got a different woman who was pleasant and told me they would get back to me to schedule it, I also needed them to update my name because they had it as ""Lashelle."" I had to call back twice more to get this appointment for repair made. I understand it was a large money-making job, but still.
A different man comes out to do the repair. I pay him in cash +tip. I asked for a receipt, and he said one would be mailed. I assumed the job was done correctly. It was not. My kitchen flooded three times because the fittings came apart, once while only the dishwasher was running. I was also sent an invoice again not a receipt.
I called the office and explained. Again, this woman was not pleasant. No apologies, no nothing. She said she would let ""them"" know. I did not get another call. A few days later I return home from errands and see a Silverman van outside my house. I asked if he was there for me and he said yes, and that I am lucky because he was just about to leave (Hm?). I told him if I knew he was coming I would have been here. He said snarky, we called, and I said it must not have been that long ago, because that was the only time, I did not have service and I did not get a voicemail.
It was fine though, I let him come in, he looks does not know where the man got the materials to the job the first time. He is done rather quickly and does a correct S Trap like was described on the estimate and invoice I already paid. I then ask if he would want to check the work the other man did in the basement to make sure it was done correctly, he said something like no, I am sure it is fine.
I was ready to let it go, until I receive a new invoice for the latest visit where they returned to correct the job they messed up. Another $130+. I call the office slightly annoyed, get the name of the woman who is not friendly, it is Paula. She tells me she has nothing to do with invoices she cannot help me. Steve will have to call me.
Steve does not call me, or if he did there was no voicemail. I follow up today, not even a week later. It is Paula who answers I make sure by asking her name. I tell her it is Michelle, I called last week about an invoice, I did not get a follow up call. She flatly says I do not know who you are. So, I repeat my name and give her my last name and I ask why are you not being nice to me? It is not my fault I need to call you. She says hold on, comes back on the line and says, yeah Steve said I can write it off.
Communication was difficult, service was not great. An apology of any kind at any point would have went a long way.

Came out to install a dishwasher and convert stove from gas to propane. Couldn't complete job and haven't been able to get them to come back and finish. Unreliable as other reviews have stated. Would definitely not recommend them. Bad customer service.

Runs hot and cold just like water and is mostly unreliable. Answers calls when they feel like it. Shame there's so few plumbers up here. They can get away with anything they want as they are just too independent. My uncle called them two years in a row for an emergency and they just wouldn't come out. It happened to a friend of mine too a few years back and they had to wait a week for another plumber and shut down their place until they got someone. Terrible.
