I ordered their service despite the existing negative reviews. Because Silverlining is the only company in the area the puts a video about the trench-less technology. the video is very informative. They know what they are doing. And, their price is unbeatable. The crew came the day before to do a camera inspection. They clean the drain pipe thoroughly before put in the liner. Usually it took 5 hours for the liner to dry, but due to the cold December weather, it took 10 hours this time. One of the crew member stayed behind tile 2am in the morning to make sure the liner was perfectly dry before he left. I was so touched by his professionalism.
I recommend Silver-lining to everyone.

I have a sewer pipe that runs under the foundation of my finished basement. About a month ago, I had a massive clog and backup into my basement sink. I called a plumber who dug two holes through the foundation and the moisture seal to find a huge hole. He replaced a section about 24"" long and then ran a camera through the rest of the pipe.

The rest of the pipe which runs to the front of my house had holes and signs of serious decay. The plumber told me that I'd have to excavate and replace the pipe. My basement is finished and the pipe runs right under my basement stairs. I was faced with a massive project to fix the pipe which would cost tens of thousands of dollars. Fixing the first 24"" of pipe bought me about a month for me to be able to use the sewer pipe while preparing for the excavation project.

Someone told me about CIPP (cured in-place pipe) pipe lining. Not looking forward to the excavation project, I immediately hit up Google and YouTube and learned about this process. It looked pretty amazing and I decided to start looking for people who do pipe lining.

My search brought me to SilverLining. I was skeptical because of the two reviews posted here from a few years ago. I called and spoke with the owner. He told me that they do mostly commercial work and residential work when asked. They use commercial grade equipment and have people skilled with their pipe lining technologies.

I described my problem and he told me that their solution would absolutely fix my problem. I quickly received a quote via email for the project and was pleasantly surprised by the affordable price given the cost of excavating and replacing the pipe.

However, in the course of my research, I came across the two negative reviews which made me hesitant. Given that I was being asked to pay more than half for the deposit up front, I had a lot of questions. I called him and grilled him about the details of what I would expect and what would be done. He sent a technician over to my house to look at my situation and to describe the process. As it turns out, the technician is a master plumber and definitely knew his stuff! Everything sounded good so far.

Next, I decided to ask for 3 references. I was supplied the references almost immediately. I called all three and was made more at ease by the satisfaction that they had with the service that they received.

Then, I decided to go to their office to meet with the owner. He was very nice and reassuring. I finally felt comfortable with using them to solve my problem. I gave him a check (on a Thursday) as a deposit for work to be done the following Monday.

On Monday morning, the technician arrived to start the process. He removed the spliced piece of pipe put in place by my plumber. He ran his camera through the pipe to show me the problem areas and to measure exactly where the lining would end up.

Then, the technician brought their ""cannon"" and compressor down to my basement. It was amazing watching the entire process unfold (literally!). It was a cold rainy day, so it took about 4 hours for the lining to cure. The technician then reconnected the spliced piece of pipe back onto the newly lined pipe which runs under the length of my basement and ran the camera again. It was smooth and clear.

Since it was late by the time the technician finished, he came back the next morning. He filled the holes jack hammered by my plumber when he discovered the problem initially. He was careful to not leave any air pockets which could eventually create sink holes. He was very careful and precise. He was able to patch the plastic moisture barrier and then cover it with concrete. He smoothed it out so that I can cover it with the carpeting that needed to be pulled up for my plumber to get at the pipe in the first place. The technician even cleaned up all of the dirt and rocks that were left by my plumber. By the time he left, my basement was clean and the pipe was fixed.

With regard to prior reviews:
1. The owner was not at all pushy. He was excited to talk about their technology, but I never felt pushed.

2. The technician arrived for the initial consultation and to perform the work exactly when I was told he would.

3. The amount that I ended up paying for this work was exactly the amount that was quoted in the estimate.

4. The owner, office administrator, and the technician were all very pleasant to deal with.

I am thrilled with the work that was done. I'm confident that the solution that I've been provided will be as effective, if not more than if I had excavated and replaced the pipe.

If you need a pipe replaced, I would recommend considering using SilverLining as your solution instead of going through the hassles of excavating!

I am a happy customer and am in now way affiliated with this company.

Took a high deposit of contract amount to line a sewer line. They were pushy for the deposit which should have raised a red flag. Then they did nothing for 2 months. After 2 months they came back and asked for 2.5times the amount of the previous contract and more deposit. We refused and requested them to do the work per their original quote or refund our deposit. As they did not perform per their proposal. They refused to refund and even asked for the remaining original proposal amount (after doing nothing just a video inspection).

In short to low ball offer then ask for almost triple that amount and refuse to give back your deposit.
Be careful with this company.
