My AC compressor broke on a day when temps hit 108° and it was a Saturday, no less. I thought for sure I was screwed. I had used Silver Plumbing just a week earlier to replace my tankless hot water heater but had no idea they worked on AC units, so I put an ""emergency call"" into another local HVAC company who, to this day, has not returned my call. After a few hours of sitting in the heat, and still no call back, I tried Silver --because hope springs eternal, right? I got an answer right away. ""Do you service air conditioners?"" I asked. ""Yes!"" was the answer. I could not believe my luck! Scott was out in the field on another call but was at my house within the next hour, and fixed it. I am happily sitting in my comfortable air-conditioned home right now. I cannot recommend these guys enough; I am so happy they are right here in Ojai.

I got to know a few of the workers at Silver because they have a contract with Lowe's and they installed a few appliance's that I had bought at Lowe's. If I had a plumbing issue I would call them and sure enough they would come out and fix the problem. I thought the cost of services were pretty reasonable until recently. I had Silver come out for a toilet leak and another leak in my kitchen and I thought it might be the dishwasher. Anyways, a plumber came out and fixed the toilet leak and agreed that it was the dishwasher that was leaking. So I called an appliance repair shop and they looked at the dishwasher and said it was not coming from the dishwasher. So I called Silver again and the plumber came out and agreed it was coming from the kitchen sink plumbing. He punched 2 holes in the drywall and found the pipe that was leaking. He then came back the next day and was here for maybe an hour. I was given a flat rate for the repair and I paid it. However, I was stuck with the holes and have been trying to find out if this holes should have been repaired by the plumber. I have tried a few times to get a reply from Silver and have not received a call back. I clearly feel this should be part of the repair. I mean if someone needed to get to the pipes in the front yard and they dug a hole wouldn't they refill the hole? I'm really disappointed in Silver and their response to my question about the holes in my drywall. I will not be calling them in the future.

This company charged me more for the diagnosis of the problem than it was to repair the problem. I would never use this plumber again.

I had a recurring problem with my tankless water heater; it refused to provide hot water to the bathtub, unless the faucet was adjusted to minimum flow. Then, this weekend, it decided to totally go on strike; no hot water anywhere! After calling several local plumbers who were not immediately available, one of them recommended that I call Silver. I followed up on this, and got a reply that they could have someone there this afternoon. They were true to their word, two guys showed up around 4:00 PM. After a brief review of the situation, Moy, the lead man was of the opinion that the unit was starved for gas. He recommended that the gas line be replaced with a larger size; he also identified an immediate fix to improve gas flow by removing the internals from a check valve in the gas line. Upon reassembly, the heater was working perfectly, hot water all around, even in the bathtub! A fine piece of work for which I am very grateful.

Over the past couple of years, Silver Plumbing Service has serviced our tankless Navien water heater/floor heater with excellent results. The first time we called Scott was for a recurring leak that another plumber failed to fix. Silver Plumbing took care of it quickly and effectively. Scott was able to diagnose our most recent problem over the phone based on the error code and what was going on. Chris did a great job with recent maintenance and repair. Bottom line, they know what they're doing and get it right the first time; that's cost effective.

Scott, who I think is the Owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I placed a call in for service on a clogged shower drain that I had spent many hours on trying to free the clog. Scott personally called me, and after describing the clogged symptoms, the type of house I'm in, and the things I did in an attempt to resolve the problem, Scott explained to me exactly what I should do, and it worked! He saved me a few hundred dollars but what is to note is Scott's knowledge and the time who took to help someone out. I would absolutely recommend.

Biggest jerk I ever met. Said my California Faucets were junk. I ordered the parts FOR HIM, He charged me $250 to put them in, less than one hour of work. I even was nice enough to turn the water on and off for him at the street. He was late and didn't have all the tools he needed for the job. Can get the job done if you're willing to put up with his attitude and pay his price.

I manage a family complex in Ojai. I used to have another plumbing service that I would use, but they were awful. I had to find a new vendor and I decided to give Silver a try. Best decision ever. I've already used them a few times and they are always great. They return calls same day, they are professional, friendly, very helpful and will keep working until they solve the problem. We had a couple of emergencies and they arrived within an hour, worked all day to fix the problem and kept me informed of every step. They even showed me what was wrong and what they were doing and what to look for in case something goes wrong in the future. They educate you about your plumbing so you are more informed. Definitely recommend.

We've had Scott and his crew (Chris, Jason) put in a new water heater and also fix some under-the-sink piping that another plumbing company had put in wrong, causing a messy water leak. In both cases, Silver answered our phone call immediately, we were scheduled for the same day, and the work was done perfectly.

I called Silver today because our garbage disposal unit stopped working. Instead of sending out a repairman and charging us, Scott walked me through a simple procedure to ""unstick"" the blades. It worked perfectly. In my experience as a homeowner, this was a unique, generous service.
