Beware! We have a 10 year warranty with Sila for a system that they installed and recommended to us. The system was installed in 2019 for $23,000. In 2022, less than three years later, the system was not sufficiently cooling. Sila's tech came out and recommended that we refill refrigerant, at a cost of $600, but did not tell us that the refrigerant was low because the system was leaking. We researched on our own, while the tech was there, and asked if the system was leaking because you should not have to replace refrigerant. He admitted that the system was probably leaking but did not want to do a full leak test and said that we would have to pay another tech to come out to do that. We called Sila's office and after some wrangling about paying for work that the initial tech should have done, they agreed to send out an new tech a week later. The new tech came out and said that from VISIBLE inspection it was clear the unit was leaking. The tech also informed us that the system that Sila recommended was known for coil issues. Sila then quoted us a price of almost $4000 to replace the problematic coil. The coil is fully under warranty. We repeatedly called Sila for months to get an adjusted quote for the repair. We even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They have not responded. We spoke to the manufacturer who has stated that Sila's quote is expensive given that they will be providing them the part for free. $4000 in labor costs to replace a coil in a system that was TOTAL $23,000 for labor, installation, parts, and warranty is absurd. It seems like Sila does not believe in providing any customer service after they have taken your money.
