A few months ago I got a consultation for ductless mini split system. The guy came to get measurements and information. He stated he'll email me with a quote but I never heard from him again.

Called to get a quote on maintaining my heating system, was also looking to upgrade since I have an older system. The person on the phone who answered the call could not be bothered with helping me out....business is business, He was more concerned with selling his air conditioning systems.
I have since found a less apathetic company.

After I saw and purchased the single split AC coupon from Angie's List, a Sila rep (Brian MacFarland) came out and assessed our needs. We could have gone with the single unit for the AMAZING coupon price, but had other rooms we wanted to cool as well and Brian spec'd out a plan for our home at a very good price that included the coupon. We ended up with a 3 zone heat pump (15K and 2 x 9K BTU wall units). The 15K was installed on the first floor to cool and heat our living room/kitchen area. The two 9K units went in bedrooms.

Gage and Josh came out exactly on time first thing in the morning and did a very professional job. They were clean and considerate of our home and left no garbage, nor marks or dings on any walls or floors. Very nice guys and easy to talk to. They were able to give us good information on the install and the units themselves. The install took a whole day (7-4) and the end result is excellent. All the hosing on the sides of the house were nicely covered, matched out siding and laid out cleanly. There were no ""Oops"" moments. I've had other work done by other contractors and there are almost always plenty of oops moments.

We also had Sila provide electrician services for the required 220 line. Jim was scheduled to come and give an estimate for the install in a week but was able to do the job same day. To me, that was huge. We had a running system at the end of the day. In fact, electrical was done before the system was completed, so that when it was time to turn it on, it was all ready.

The was one moment when a decision needed to me made to follow the original plan or make a change and a tech foreman was called to the site to go over it with me and make sure that we would be happy, no matter what. We discussed the change option and the original option and came to a resolution that we were happy with (the original plan). This was all done in 30-60 minutes. The foreman was able to come out quickly and they guys were able to continue working on other parts of the install while I waited for him.

Sila also sent a technician out a week later to go over the system one more time and also to give us training on the use of the system one more time. A very nice customer service perk.

All in all, I highly recommend Sila for your heating and cooling needs. Top notch professionalism and very good pricing.

This is a review of central AC repair.

One of the worst feelings in the world of homeownership is having your central AC go. It just sounds expensive and you never know if the service provider is going to get it right or soak you. Thankfully I found these guys.

I was able to get an appointment within days of my call. The tech they sent out, Brian, was not only on time, he was early! He got right to work and was able to diagnose and repair the problem quickly. He was very knowledgeable and explained the system and repair to me. Also a small, but much appreciated gesture, Brian put on plastic shoe covers so as not to track in any dirt into my home, (never has anyone done that before when providing a service in my home).

Their rate was clearly explained to me and I was able to save big $ by buying the Yelp deal.

They also do heating work so I will be making them my service provider for that as well.

I've used Sila for years. They installed the AC in my 1886 house very skillfully and efficiently. They replaced my 50 year old boiler with a new one with 5 zones. And I've used them for years for annual maintenance and repairs. I think they do high quality work.

I've used Sila on a number of occasions, mostly for tune-ups. All their service men were friendly and knowledgeable, and were very neat. Most recently I had a problem with my furnace (not running). Unfortunately it was a sporadic problem, so it was difficult to diagnose. They came out 3 times. The second time Dave did an amazing job inspecting my furnace, even inside using a special camera, but the furnace was running. Of course it quit soon after he left. Brian came out the next day and luckily we were able to get the furnace to quit. Brian quickly diagnosed the problem. An induction motor was needed. It was late in the day (~5:00) and he couldn't get a replacement part form their usually vendor until the next day. Shortly after he left, he called me back and found a local company to get the part from. He returned that night and fixed my furnace. Since it was the middle of January I was very thankful for not having to spend another cold night.

Just had the HVAC system in my condo replaced. Graham Keohane did the estimate. Very thorough, and patient. He took the time to explain the options, and didn't try to ""up sell."" Gage Silva and a number of others did the installation. They arrived at the promised time, and worked steadily. The system was delivered fully-functional, and my cellar was spotless afterwards, despite the crew having to run a feeder duct through drywall, and work in several inches of snow to install the outside equipment, and then connect inside. Great experience. Professional. The company even credited the account for the unused portion of the maintenance contract on the old equipment. -Adams

I saw a promotion for a tune up and cleaning for my oil burner and figured I would give it a shot considering it was half the cost of the other two quotes I received and they had good reviews on yelp. John G arrived at exactly the time the he was scheduled (7am). I received a call with a reminder the day before as well, which was nice considering I booked it about a month in advance. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He was here for just under 2 hours replaced a the filter and a few basic components and outlined any potential issues with the burner and tank. I could not have asked for a better experience and will definitely be a repeat customer!
