Our clothes washer's drain was sometimes overflowing. Placed a call to Drain Sugeon and got an appt dor the next morning. Joe's son Joe came out. What a great guy! Calm, patient, and knowledgeable. He went up on the roof to snake down through the vent. He explained everything he did. And I thought the bill was reasonable goven today's prices.

My wife Anna found Joe Bernal, the ""Drain Surgeon"" through friends who recommended a particular plumber. When she described our plumbing problem (a large rootball totally blocking a main sewer line), he immediately said The Drain Surgeon is your guy, but make sure it's Joe Bernal who provides the service. On learning it was an emergency by phone, Joe noted his day was full but he'd try to squeeze the job in. An hour or two later he called to say he'd be there in 15 minutes, which in fact he was. He took care of the job perfectly in short order for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I had used Joe to snake my shower drains in the past, and was always very pleased with the service. However, I had one experience in 2017 where he decided to send his son instead, and Joey totally screwed up my bathtub drain flange. When I went in to see how things were going, I saw that he was cramming the snake into the drain without first taking off the plug (the drain stopper). I told him to stop, and asked him what he was doing. He said the plug was not meant to come out, which is total BS, and then proceeded to tell me that the flange was ""already like that,"" also BS. I paid the full $152 dollars for his terrible mistake, as I just wanted him out of the house at that point. Joe, please do not send your son on jobs that he has not been trained to do. The tub flange has been steadily corroding now for all these years, and it makes me angry every time I get into the shower. Ergo, I decided to finally post this very bad review (not worth one star). Again, Joe is great; Joey not so much... And Joey's attitude only made a very bad situation worse. I decided to just buy a snake from Amazon for $27 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VF4WTFV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and do it myself. If you run into a problem, YouTube has a lot of videos on how to proceed.

Our clothes washer drain backed up a few days before we were scheduled for a vacation. I called one local plumbing business and left a message. I'd done business with them before, but this time there was no response, so I called a national chain. They arrived (on a weekday- no emergency) with the free estimate of $432. As two years ago I had the drains cleared by the same company I was thinking, ""Boy! Inflation, eh?""
I declined their service and asked a neighbor for a recommendation. The Monday after we got back from our trip I called Drain Surgeon and got a call early Tuesday morning. They came out that afternoon and fixed the problem in fifteen minutes for considerably less money.

I called the Drain Surgeon to deal with a toilet back-up issue . . within a half an hour, perfect help arrived in Eldorado. Couldn't have had a more professional, thorough, respectful response - and at a very fair price. While I hope to not need their help again soon, I'll certainly call Joe and company next time I have a need. And what a fine name for their company!

15 minutes of snaking out a drain/ 2 guy's/one working/ not an emergency/ not a holiday.... $184.00. Apparently, I should've checked on price ahead of them showing up. For that price, they should've cleared the 4"" all the way to the septic instead of just the 1.5"".
