Filed a complaint with the Better Business Business after Sigma-installed fittings leaked, leaving us without AC cooling for 2 months of the summer. Company didn't return multiple calls about problem. Unreasonable and inappropriate delays to respond, troubleshoot, or repair the fitting malfunction.

Moved on to a well-managed, properly-staffed company with high standards for honesty, experience, quality, and follow-through.

Don't use them.......even if you're desperate! My 90 year old mother used Sigma for 13 years and thought she was receiving great care. Unfortunately, this was not the case. She requested a new thermostat, as the current one wasn't working. They came and reprogrammed the existing one and claimed it was fixed. It didn't work and the next day, that had to come out again and replace the unit........which we asked for in the 1st place. They charged her 2 service fees, which she appealed via phone calls, certified mail, etc. They would not respond after numerous attempts. We were able to get her money back filing a claim with the bank, which is not a simple process for approval....but it was granted legally. In the meantime, we hired a different company to clean our air-conditioning units, formerly done by Sigma for years. According to the new company, they indicated they were never cleaned properly in past services, based on their condition. They said they were filthy and reflected poor workmanship. After she was granted her money back through the credit company, Sigma sent her a nasty letter saying she was removed from their customer list and will no longer service her. The worst ever! Don't use them! You can find a better company!

I really was not hopeful when Sigma showed up but Jeremy was professional and more than helpful. He came back twice to completely resolve the problem. 20 months ago, Sigma installed a full Carrier unit for the house and a split Mitsubishi unit for the in-law suite over the garage. The Mitsubishi unit lost its coolant over the winter. Service call tech diagnosed it as an incorrect installation of a fitting at the external unit. I called the office to book the appointment for repair expecting to have to discuss who was going to pay for this. Did not need to - the service manager said if they did not install right, then they are responsible to fix it. And they did it this morning. Now, that is a company that stands behind its product and reputation.

Horrible customer service. Some service manager actually hung up on me. Wrote letter to owner but never heard from him. This after I paid them $160 to come out and diagnose the problem. I waited three weeks for service, kept getting dates when parts would be in. I finally got tired and called another company - work done three days later and less expensive.

They're the best; came out to take a look at our A/C; turned out to be a very minor issue, which of course we had overlooked. They didn't even charge us! I had Sigma complete some work for me in January 2016 and everything was fine immediately after. It was expensive but the repair was a good temporary solution and worth the cost. About a year later my boiler started acting up and I requested a quote for a replacement gas fired combi boiler.

The quote was sent after a couple emails and it came in very high which I expected given the current market conditions in the industry (I also work in the industry). The quote was also lump sum, called for replacing my CO detector, did not define controls scope, and contained a few other inaccuracies. I replied requesting these items be changed, a revised quote, and more detail if possible - never heard back. I tried contacting the rep again and again... I haven't heard back.

They'd probably be fine if they responded and agreed to do the work but I'm not happy at all with Sigma's customer service...finding another contractor that responds.
