We have used Sierra Vista Plumbing, and they did a good job at market price. When our garbage disposal died, I called them to replace it. Technician came out and said he could replace it and had one in his truck. When I got the bill, it was $710! I assumed he had replaced ours with a much better unit. When I went to register it with the manufacturer, I looked up the model #. The garbage disposal that he installed was $150 at Home Depot, meaning he charged $550 labor. He was here 30 minutes, meaning they charge $1100 a an hour labor! This is outrageous! Fool me once......they have lost our business.

We bought a house in SV recently and needed a couple things done. Looking through the reviews, I thought I found the company to handle all of our plumbing and HVAC needs for years to come. Sadly not so much.
You would think since this is the first service call and I specifically mentioned we're looking for someone to work long term on any future work, they would try a little harder to make a first impression.
First off, I contacted them through their website contact form as it wasn't urgent and never got a reply. Figured ok, maybe it didn't go through or something, so I call. The lady who answered was nice and we set an appointment for three things:
* Replace the main water shutoff valve in the garage
* Replace the cartridge in one of the showers
* Take a look at one of the vents on the roof that came up during inspections
Tech was late for the appointment, they did reach out and let me know. Knowing how the industry is when it comes to being prompt and me working from home that day anyway, figured no biggie. The tech was very nice and personable, felt like we were in good hands.
After he inspected everything, he talked to the office and the cost is $1380. Seems a lil high, but as long as you get what you pay for in quality workmanship, ""ok, let's do it"".
He got done with everything in a good amount of time. I should have inspected things closer before he left, but I didn't take a closer look at the main water shut off valve until a couple days later. It's not soldered at all and you can move it side to side a good 1.5 - 2 inches by pushing with your fingers (I took a video, but Yelp only allows images, so added the picture to illustrate.
So much for first impressions and a possible lifelong customer Sierra Vista Plumbing, Inc.

Water was backing up in my bathroom and I just had the septic services so I had to call a plumber. I called SV plumbing and they would not give me a quote over the phone. There was no one else available so I had him come out. He charged me $680 and spent about 30 minutes with a snake, left the hole in the yard open, and the problem was not resolved. I am filing a complaint with the licensing agency and BBB as they are not willing to refund the money or come back and fix the problem without charging me again. These people are crooks.

The house we bought had an existing water softener system and I wasn't sure if it was repairable and I had a new kitchen faucet that I wanted installed. I called Sierra Vista Plumbing and they said they could come out the next Monday. The guy they sent out, Tom, was very nice and gave me the estimate for how much it would be to repair the water softener and install the new sink faucet, which was $432. I told him to go ahead and do the work. He checked the water softener and within 5 minutes, he told me it was fried and was not able to be repaired and then proceeded to install the faucet. This took about 30-40 minutes. When it came time to pay, I asked how much it would be. He replied, $432. I was shocked that the price was still $432 as I thought the price he quoted was to repair the water softener system, not to take 5 minutes to tell me that it was fried. I then asked what it would cost to replace the system and he said $3800. Wow! That much? I told him I would talk to my husband and let them know. I called San Pedro Plumbing and asked what they charge to replace my system. They told me that they don't have systems and I would have to get my own and they would charge me $325 to install it... I bought a new system on Amazon, same as my he old one, just updated model for $570. It was at my door in 2 days! It gets installed tomorrow!! San Pedro Plumbing is amazing as far as I'm concerned! I will definitely use them going forward!!!

I called for an appointment. I was given one for 2 weeks out; unfortunately they are booked out for non urgent things (understandable). The tech arrived in the window I was given. Was very professional and got the job done. I will be calling them back if I need service in the future.

Asked for an estimate to install a water heater. Given a date and time, and rearranged my work schedule to accommodate the appointment.
Was called and informed the Technician was delayed by 2 hours. The Technician showed up about 3 hours later.
When the estimate was provided, it was over $1000, and I already had the water heater. I knew the job would only take about 3 hours based on other quotes, so was appalled by the price. Needless to say, get quotes and maybe consider a career in plumbing!

Put in a ticket with American home shield and got this company. I received a text saying I would be contacted the next day, after hearing nothing two days later I called and was told they hadn't gotten to me yet and someone would contact me. Another three days pass so I call to find out what's going on they tell me my appointment is from 2-3 and that they tried contacting me. I had no missed calls or messages but I tell my boss I have to leave early to get my AC fixed. I get home and no one shows. I call the next day and they said no one was home at 2:05 when the tech arrived so I probably just missed him. This is false because my daughter was home and said no one came to my house. Then they offered to come next week when my wife or I would have to take off work again. I'm calling AHS right now to make them aware of the company they're using.
