We had a main line clog and Mr. Cox was able to schedule us the same day. His crew was on time, professional, courteous and they cleaned up after they left.

I 100% recommend this company and will use them for our future needs!

My land lord has hired this company several times to make repairs are my duplex. The first issue occurred when I got my first washing machine and every time it would drain my duplex would flood. So I drained the hose from the washing machine into a bucket and all was well. When they came out to repair they insisted it was nothing wrong with the plumbing and it was an issue with my machine. The plumber that came to work on it was extremely rude to me and didn't listen to any input from me. He also flooded my place 5 times trying to trouble shoot. He refused to open the wall where the drain pipe would be located until I pushed back. Once he finally opened the wall he reported to me that nothing was wrong and it was 100% my machine. Then left, but the situation was mysteriously fixed and it never flooded again. (It really seemed like he fixed the issue and pretended there wasn't one.)

Fast forward to a year later, and they were making repairs on a sewer drain line that had a root grown into it. When they were doing so, they cut my fresh water line. When I got home that night (4 hours after this happened) there was no notification and mud was coming out of my tub faucet, the toilet had mud in it and all the aerators were clogged up. After speaking with Austin Water they informed me that the lines should have been disinfected and flushed and my water needs to be tested before it is deemed safe to drink, wash dishes, cook and brush teeth with. I called Sydney Cox and Patrick told me he didn't care about my water quality and Sydney Cox would not be doing anything other than finishing the repair.

Great fast work. Andrew came out and fixed my valve issue. Not only did he replace it but he made sure the cut off valve was working along with making sure nothing was leaking throughout the house. He also explained how I can check for my self. They charged a very fair price, quick work and were clean so yes, I have found my pluming guys for sure!

I wanted quick service on a rental property, but didn't want just anyone. I checked the reviews for Sidney Cox, and decided to give them a try. Good choice. They were straight shooters, honest, and quickly got the job done. I had the home inspected before buying it, and I learned my inspector was blowing smoke on some of the things he stated. Instead of ripping me off, they told me the truth. I will use them again.

Had a severe plumbing issue with water backing up in our commercial kitchen and water leaking out from the kitchen into the hallway. Cox Plumbing answered our call immediately and had a plumber dispatched and at our business within a couple of hours to repair the issue. They are responsive, professional and very reasonably priced.

I wasn't in a plumbing emergency but Randy still came out within 24 hours of me calling and was in and out in an hour. Such amazing service!

I am in the process of selling an old condo that has a lot of plumbing issues. I was referred to Sydney by my realtor and so far had used their service three times. Each time, the plumber(Randy) came out right on time and explained everything before he started working on them. I initially thought $50 for half an hour was a bit pricey but the quality of the job is so good I think it's totally worth it.
I would recommend them to everyone I know.
I had the ac condensate line, dishwasher cinnection fixed and installed a mini tank water heater.

I was under my pier and beam house and noticed a small leak near a bathroom toilet. Plumber came out, pulled out the toilet and, looking at it with me, agreed it just needed a new seal. Everything else looks fine. As he's scraping off the old wax, he calls me in to show me that he now sees that the pipe itself is damaged and needs to be replaced. Looking again, I can now see a gouge in the metal, right at the top where he was scraping. I'm sure this damage was (accidentally) caused by him. Again, we both agreed the pipe was fine before he started working on it. He claims the wax was covering the damaged part, but it was split in such a way that that can't be true. In addition, there's no other way for the interior of the pipe to be damaged this way. But, ok, I certainly can't prove anything, and replacing 2 feet of pipe can't be that big of a deal; I have a bit of experience working on plumbing, and can't imagine it would take more than a couple of hours. He says he doesn't have time to fix it now, hands me a bill for $107 (not unreasonable), and they schedule to come out a couple days later to replace the pipe. Two days later, right on time, two guys are here to get the work done. They are under there for three hours, during which time I can hear one of them on his phone taking a personal call. Clearly, one of them is a very inexperienced helper, and neither of them is a certified master plumber. They bill me for $536! This is to replace 2 feet of pipe with pvc! I point out that they are billing me for more hours than they worked (or were even here at my house). He says he's billing me an extra half hour for the parts run they made before the arrived. I can't imagine they didn't have the parts on the truck, but in the two days between them assessing the work and showing up they should have been able to pick up parts for multiple jobs. Are they billing everyone for individual parts runs? They bill their very inexperienced helper at $50 per hour. OK, whatever, plumbing work is expensive, and it's done. I cut them a check and send them on their way.

Five days later I'm under the house again to do some other work, and lo and behold the (extremely simple) joint that they made IS LEAKING! I'm completely stunned. I imagine the average homeowner would never have known that there was such shoddy work done, and that water was leaking under their house. In addition, for the life of me I can't find many of the parts they billed me for. I called, and they're going to fit me in tomorrow (no idea what time; I'm to wait around for their call).

I'm sure they'll fix the problem, but there are so many good (and MUCH less expensive) plumbers in town. In my opinion, even if it were done correctly, the $640 I've paid them ($107 for the initial visit, + $536 for the 2nd visit) to change out a seal on a toilet and replace two feet of pipe is extremely high. Even if it had been done correctly the first time...

Sidney Cox plumbing has great customer service and conscientious, competent plumbers. My tenant called at 7:30 p.m. on a Thursday evening to report water gushing from underneath the foundation of the house. We shut off the main and I called Sidney Cox Plumbing at 7:15 a.m. the next morning. Sidney was at the house at 8:30 a.m. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken pipe, outside the foundation, and called his guys to pick up a jackhammer and come over. They began work about 9:00 a.m. and finished at about 3:30 p.m. They regularly informed me about what they found and did a good job cleaning up. In addition to the big leak (a faulty old repair - a bad solder joint caused pipe to slip out of a coupling), they also found and repaired a crimped section of pipe and a second, smaller leak. They did concrete work to close up the hole and it all looks fine. The total bill was quite reasonable. I would use them again and will recommend them to my friends.

Not a great business in my opinion! We have been in a complaint mode with the Texas Plumbing Board for 2 1/2 years and finally the Plumbing Board assessed a fine and the company contested the fine. This company screwed up our job and they won't own up to it. It has cost us at least $15,000 to have their job re-done and all of the associated sheetrock, taping, floating and painting redone, which we have done twice!
