Al and Laura from Sica Modular Homes are indisputably the best homebuilders you could ask for! We built our home last spring, and the house is absolutely perfect. My wife and I designed our home almost entirely, and they never said ""No"" to anything we wanted. Everything we asked for, they made happen. Craftsmanship is perfect, details are flawless, and the communication throughout the process was exceptional. Even my neighbors commented on how neat and considerate they were during the construction. Any minor issue that has popped up since has been one phone call away from an immediate repair by the Sica staff (Including a 2 AM call in the middle of last winter!). If you are considering a modular home, there is no other option! Simply, Sica is the best!

I wanted SICA to produce and deliver (""ship and set"") a custom modular house. I gave them a deposit to produce preliminary drawings for my approval. I also gave them a very detailed description of what I wanted. The first draft did not reflect many aspects of what we had discussed. They promised to fix it. It took a very long time(several weeks) to get the second draft. However, many of my requirements were not addressed again! They had to revise drawings again, and again they made the same mistakes. This was going on for several months. Finally, I gave up on them and asked for my deposit back. They failed to returned it.
Len Wehrle was dealing with me most of the time. He seemed like a nice guy, but could not really get things done. I also spoke to Al Sica about continues delays with my drawings, but that didn't help.

It seems that the modular concept may only work when you get a standard model without any customization inside or outside. Otherwise everything seems to be a big problem and causes long delays.
