I've lived in Roswell, Georgia for nearly 25 years. I wish I had called Shumate when I initially arrived. That would have saved years of aggravation with all those other firms. My home has 3 AC/Heat systems - 2 of which were 20 years old and needed replacing. After getting estimates from 4 firms, I chose Shumate. Why? First, their consultant Jeff Giese (NATE Certified) actually listened to what I was looking for and presented the most thorough estimate. He spent the most time explaining his recommendation and providing information about Shumate. (I knew a little about the size and reputation of their firm from a commercial real estate developer.) He promptly answered all of my questions up until the time I decided on Shumate. Second, their price was next to the best. I was quite surprised that the estimate I received from Costco was not only the highest but their consultant did not listen to my needs at all! Most important, the installation team leads had 20 and 16 years of experience, all with Shumate. That speaks volumes about an organization. When I had some post-installation questions a day later, a technician came out immediately to speak with me. From start to finish, Shumate was the most professional, the most courteous, and the most reliable. My only regret is that I didn't have better judgment to call them 25 years ago!

Great service. Highly recommend. Very responsive to initial call, sales rep is extremely professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The technicians were on time and courteous. I had another company servicing my HVAC for years but several years ago when my ac broke, that company didn't respond quickly to my calls. It was hot so I called Shumate who replaced the unit right away. I decided to replace my very old furnace yesterday and called Shumate to do that.

I wanted to commend Shumate for doing the right thing. A year and a half ago, I used Shumate to install a new HVAC system after my old one died and after my former HVAC service provider tried to gouge me on a new system. A month ago, my new system malfunctioned. While the unit is still under warranty, on paper, I was to be responsible for the labor charges--which could have topped $1000. I took issue with that, communicated that to the powers that be, and Shumate fixed the problem at no charge to me. Along the way I was made aware of what was going on, was treated like a person and not a potential money source, and truly feel like I can trust them to tell me the truth about my system (unlike my former HVAC provider). If you're in the market for a heating and air conditioning service provider, strongly consider Shumate. I'm really glad I did.

I have been thoroughly pleased with the customer, installation, and preventive maintenance services I've received from Shumate Mechanical over the past 18 years. When I purchased my property, the previous owners informed me they had a PM contract with Shumate. I continued to maintain the PM contract with them as well. The furnace lasted 26 years before it needed replacing. The also replaced my hot water heater and converted it from gas to electric. Their installs are neat and seamless to the property owner. And, the installers are professional. They leave your property neat and clean.

I have listened to Sandy Shumate over and over on her radio ads and she has no clue as to what her phone people say when asked about HER """"24 hour response time"""" promise. I called and told them my problem with my AC - the guy on the phone from Shumate said they could """"work me in in about 5 days"""". I asked about Sandy's """"promise"""" of 24 hour response time. He said that was only for their customers who had a service contract with them (no where in HER ads does she mention this). I told him about the ad - his reply was, well, she may have said that, but I'm telling you that you ain't getting seen until at least 5 days from now"""" So much for Sandy and he dad's way of doing business!

Could not be more pleased with my first experience with Shumate. While a competitor had me on a 2 week standby appointment, they got me in within 2 days (which is something as it's 96 degrees out and everybody is having issues). The price was miraculous and the technician, Jeff Chapman, was a pleasant and knowledgeable man who despite what I can only imagine was a long day, was still smiling when he got to my house at 5pm on a Monday. I signed up for the maintenance plan and could not be happier!! Thanks Shumate!!
