Thinking I had a water leak under the house around the toilet, Kenny showed up within an hour. After removing the insulation between floor joists, the seriousness of my problem became very evident. The individual that had set the toilet prior to our purchase 20+ years ago, improperly set it. The wax ring never sealed, and with every flush for the past 20+ years it had been jetting water between the sub floor and the tile floor. With no where to go, the water set and rotted the sub floor around the toilet. Kenny removed the toilet, tile, affected sub floor, and drywall. Shored up the floor joists, laid the new sub, replaced the cut out drywall. After I painted and laid the floor, Kenny came right back and properly reset the toilet. For a guy working alone, he took on this project without hesitation. This was not a bill I was expecting and to be honest, I was worried. I didn't feel over charged, or taken for a ride. Kenny earned every penny, and I will gladly call him back if I have future plumbing problems.
