Our A/C stopped working this past week. We called Short Pump heating and air. They were quick to schedule an appointment and when Daniel showed up he was on time and very professional. We will definitely use them in the future.

These guys always come through for me. Whether it is a plumbing job or A/C or something electrical they have always been there for me. I have had them to my home at least 6 times in the last two years since we purchased our home. Each visit has always been a pleasure to see them quickly and accurately diagnose the issues. Highly recommend and sign up for the annual maintenance plan! Worth it when your A/C fails on the weekends.

I had a contract with Short Pump Heating and Air to service my HVAC system on a yearly basis. My contract was unilaterally cancelled by them without notifying me because my air conditioner needed to be serviced from the roof. I understand that they might need to cancel the policy, but not having the professional courtesy to let me know was unacceptable.

The problem is that you did not bother to tell me that you were not renewing the contract..no phone call, no email, no text message, nothing. It was a unilateral decision taken without informing me.

The fact that you did not renew the contract was not the issue, and not the reason I gave you a one star rating.

Last weekend our Power Vent Hot Water heater failed. I was able to reach this company on Saturday, the Master Plumber, Jeff, took down our data. When the supplier opened on Monday morning, Jeff was over removed the old heater, processed our warranty claim (installed by ""others"") and was back with the new heater and did an impeccable job of installing the new heater. He cleaned all of the installation debris away, did a very neat job and could not have been nicer. They took care of filing the warranty claim, they were competitive on price and I can't say enough about the complete process. This is a top shelf company and Jeff Flynn, their Master Plumber is EXCELLENT

We recently purchased and had installed a Mitsubishi split system to better heat and cool our large bedroom and bath over our garage. The team installing was Chris, Ryan and James with Short Pump Heating and Air. The workmanship was excellent and installers most professional. They were very articulate with the installation and used drop cloths to protect our stairway and floors. This company is a diamond contractor certified by Mitsubishi. I highly recommend them. The owner, Ryan Lancaster, designed the installation and followed through in making sure everything was done according to his plans and we were completely satisfied. We were so pleased we purchased a service contract through them on our other two York units. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable. Great company! Oh, the unit has fully met our expectations. Love it.

Recently called with a request to have a ductless heat/air installed. Quick response and awesome service and this system rocks!! Of note, one of the things that truly made me feel great about this company was that on the day they were here it rained and one of the installers came to my door and before going any further pulled out his pocket and put on a pair of shoe covers to keep my floor dry. Wow ! I'm old school and believe that true customer service can be what will always keep a company like this on top. Would give 10 stars if it were an option.

What a great experience. We've been dealing with HVAC issues for a while now and we finally decided to replace our system. The folks at Short Pump Heating & Air came out the same day I called to give me a quote. Not only was the price great (most affordable I've found in Richmond) but the installation went off without a hitch. I was honestly shocked when the installation mechanics told me they were done. In and out, it was no more than 4hrs for a complete changeover with a new return duct. If you're looking for an HVAC company to work with look no further.

Had no air to master bedroom-nice guy came and checked everything (or so I thought). Put 2 units of Freon and did some tinkering to get the room cooler. Cost me about $270 . Unit started operating intermittently-called a referral from a friend. Came same day, cleared condensation drain line-problem solved-charged me $90 Guess who I'll use from now on? It was one of the hottest days of the year and also the biggest party of the year at our home. Yup the AC went on the fritz about 4 hours before the company came. I was able to explain to Ryan the crisis mode I was in - on a Saturday no less - and he said they'd do a little rearranging to try and help out. The party began at 4 and at 3:48 we had nice cool air! Kyle was professional and courteous.

Best HVAC company ever! Never met better technicians who spend time explaining every thing in great detail. We had to replace our upstairs unit and the guys where so clean and the job looked professional! We did have a problem with a certain part that was being recalled, the technician explained everything to me that I totally understood and they took care of it free and clear. Even had a professional handy man fix the ceiling. I have never seen a better company that takes time with their customers! All our neighbors use them!!! Never again will I use an HVAC company I see on the tv!
