We bought an A/C from Mr. Shor about 5 months ago (end of Feb). The installation and pricing was ok. Mr. Shor personnel installed the A/C and left almost without notice (didn't even say goodbye or explain what they did and any user info; so i assumed they finished the job). After two months, we started having issues with the a/c (water coming inside the apartment). I called them and ask him about this issue and if there was something to be done. He hang up the phone (he said he was busy), when i finally got him on the phone, he said that the water drainage needed to be sucked buy a vacum. I did it and it did worked. A month later the same issue happened and this time we asked a service guy from the apartment complex and he came over and saw that the sensor was not connected to the air handler. So he did. A month later the a/c stopped working and I decided to call Mr. Shor... he answered the phone and told me that he will be calling me later; he did. To make the story short, he hangup on me again only because i asked him to go and check the a/c. He asked me to find someone else to do this job.... I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND SOMEONE THAT CAN'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS JOBS.

Shor Kool is amazing! At the end of the day you can't beat his prices or his service. IDK how he has bad reviews on here yet word of mouth everyone loves him and good reviews elsewhere.... whoever . I got 3-4 quotes from A/C companies and his was $5500. The others were $7500, 9000, and 10,000 for equivalent package unit systems. Just Shor didn't haggle over the bells and whistles and charge an arm and a leg for labor and administration costs. You gotta love when a Mom & Pop team has affordable labor and does it right for you no trouble and no hassle. I feel like I got a steal and my unit will last a long time (they even registered it with 10 year manufacturer warranty for me without me asking!) Will recommend Shor 10/10 every time !

Shor Kool did a classic bait & switch when replacing our a/c compressor. They put in a low quality compressor while charging us for a brand name. When that compressor failed in the 13th month they claimed that it is out of warranty and they wanted to charge another $2800 to """"replace"""" it again. Over the years doing business with Shor Kool there seemed to be a pattern of parts needing """"replacement"""". The fact is that they maintain 2 sets of invoices, one that the owner gives to the customer and one that his wife keeps in their records. When I asked Shor Kool for information to confirm my warranty, they would not provided me the record of the part that was specifically ordered for me from the manufacturer and the the serial number I was given was not accurate compared to my written customer receipt, which was originally discussed, written and handed to me in person.

I wish I could give negative stars. The owner of this company side swiped me on the interstate, then claimed I'm at fault. It was 100% his fault but now I have to pay for $1500 worth of damages to my car that was in perfect condition prior to him hitting me. I wouldn't trust this man with anything. Awful, evil company.

This review is to alert others as to the character of these people. He cut us off on the freeway and when we honked he slammed on the brakes to try to get us to hit him from the back. Awful !!!!

Going to add a review about whoever drives the van for this company, whether it be an employee or the owner. We pulled onto 50 with plenty of room to get on and get up to speed (did not pull out in front and cause anyone the need to slam on breaks). The Shor Kool Van sped up to run up on us and then proceeded to blow his horn on our bumper for a half mile behind us (there was plenty of room for him to go around us if he wanted) and then stick his middle finger up at us once we pulled into a turn lane (at which point he was then ready to go into another lane). Loads of pent up anger and road rage. I would certainly not entertain the idea of having this company in my home. It seems by the reviews I've read that this isn't the first time this man has done this. I'm shocked he hasn't hurt someone on the roads. It was so unnecessary.

so, We had used Shor for a few years in our investment homes and rentals. He is starting to retire. Great ! But my son put a brand new Honeywell into his home and the a/c is not working properly. He told him he can not help him. SO BEWARE HE DOES NOT HONOR HIS WARRANTIES
