Back in January of 2022, Shoda Sewer Service broke a bladed cable off in our sewer line. We thought they had removed the broken cable from our line, but instead, they left 14 or 15 feet of cable in our line to cause a massive problem over two years later. On 9/6/24, we woke up to find water soaking the floors of a bathroom, bedroom, and hallway connecting the two rooms. Shoda found that this was due to the sewer line being almost completely blocked, and noted the reason to be ""Possible broken line."" For the next 12 days, we had to limit our water use. This meant bathing, doing dishes, and doing laundry at the homes of family and friends, and accruing additional expenses due to not being able to prepare food at home. When they did the big dig job in our backyard, the Shoda dig crew verbally acknowledged to us that they had removed ""14 or 15 feet"" of cable from the sewer line, and that this was the sole cause of the sewer drain line blockage (toilet paper, etc being packed against a twisted mass of cable over time). When we asked the Shoda dig crew why their cable had been left in our sewer line for almost three years to eventually cause this problem and property damage, they could not give us a clear answer. We paid Shoda over $2,000 to diagnose and treat a problem that they were the sole cause of. There are plenty of other sewer service companies in the Fort Wayne area - please do not risk your money and property by using this one.

The guy who came out was nice and helpful to fix my backed up sink issue. He snaked the pipe and I hope it's fixed, but in the process of putting the PVC under sink back together, broke a pipe and then said ""you need a plumber to come out and fix that because I can't test the water lines"". Yeah, i know it needs to be fixed...you broke it. I've taken the sink apart multiple times with no problems, but ""it must've been a weak pipe"". Probably something I can fix myself, and he wrote me a ""guarantee"" in case I need them to come back out, but I probably could've rented a longer pipe snake for $179 and not broken my pipe and left a ton of rust on my driveway from the 20 min he spent trying to unstick his own pipe snake.

The best at what they do. Water leaking from a drain in my garage makes me shriek. Called Shoda Sewer service and they came the same day to clear the blockage. Young man cleared the drain in record time and my garage was saved no more sewer smell , so all my things were saved from being soaked. Thank you Shoda for the excellent service you sure saved the day.

Sewer problems can be really horrible, and ours was just that.
Shoda Sewer Service took a bad problem and with their outstanding customer service, and very knowledgable and personable people they quickly and very efficiently repaired our sewer issues.

Thanks to Shoda I have my home back!

We had excessive moisture in the house for years and none of the companies we hired earlier could find the cause of it. We called Shoda to do an inspection on the sewer line and they found a leak under the house. We saw on a camera recording that it was pretty bad. We have decided to replace the entire sewer line in our house. They came out to complete an estimate that was emailed to me next day and included every little detail from our conversation about the work that had to be done. I really respected the honesty and professionalism and had no intention to call any other company to do an estimate. The cost was also a little less than the amount they mentioned when they came to complete an estimate. I met some of the workers while they worked on our house and would like to share they are all great working people and handle their job with so much respect to homeowners. They do great work and are reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them to anybody that needs this work done.

Shoda will get you unclogged in no time flat, pros on the team, offer 24 hour emergency service, bathroom plumbing upgrades. Shoda does it all they are the A to Z sewer service that go beyond. They do big jobs, backhoes, bobcats, all of that stuff. Call Shoda, forget Roto-Rooter they don't do the big stuff. No service to big or small for Shoda.

Good crew of Men, they just get the job done. You will get some nice plumbing done for sure. These guys will fight through the winter for you and get over there and get it done, no matter the windchill, they dress for it properly, thermos clothes big warm gloves and a crew who jumps in and gets the job tackled.

What more could you want? Get the job done right the first time with high quality fixtures, plumbing pipes and more! At least you know the work is going to last the long haul. Sure it's going to cost, but Shoda is worth every penny. Best plumbers in Fort Wayne and most likely several counties over.. That good!

Terrible service! I called them because they claim they use advanced camera inspection for drain cleaning and jetting to clean sewer lines. Our washing machine, tub and bathroom sink were not draining properly and overflowing. I didn't know why and relied upon them to tell me. The guy showed up and stuck a little pipe cleaner down our washer pipe that drains down and couldn't get anywhere with it so he charged me $125, said it was improved some, and he left. Did not use his camera inspection nor did he check or clean our sewer lines. We did laundry that night and ended up with water all over the kitchen. He performed no actual service. It was a total waste of time and money. I will never use Shoda Sewer Service again.
