Shiver plumbing was prompt to respond to my email and answered any questions I had. My quote for the tankless water heater was very reasonable. They were prompt on coming out to do the job. Overall, I had no issues or complaints with the job.

We have been really happy with John, who has come to our rescue several times. He's professional, reliable and charges reasonable fees, and he's been great about getting to us promptly. Besides all that, he's a very nice guy and easy to work with.

No no no!!! Do NOT waste your time or money on this guy! He was so rude to us! Every time my husband had any communication with him, he was a complete jerk! I'm not even sure how he has any clients!

Aside from his attitude, he halfway did a job, then blamed our contractor for everything that went wrong including leaking a gallon of water into our newly renovated bathroom. He ripped off the bead board and left it in pieces (all could have been avoided if he just did what he was supposed to do in the first place) and now we have to pay for materials and labor to replace it.


He also had the nerve to tell my husband we needed to lend him our SUV so he could go ""run errands"" for an afternoon when he broke his key to his truck in our driveway. (Didn't even ask us, not that we would have lent it to him anyway) On top of that, he left his truck here for days until the new key came. WHO DOES THAT?!?

He showed up on the days he said he would, but he was at least 45 minutes late both times.

Worst of all, my husband told him we really need him to fix this issue because we're having a party this weekend and our guests will need to use this new bathroom. This party was pretty much the whole reason we are having the bathroom built. He tells us that he doesn't know if he'll have time to fix everything (ALL HIS FAULT BTW) because HIS WIFE is also having a party this weekend. So his personal life comes before his business and his clients. And it doesn't matter to him that we're left SOL.

My husband and I own a business and this is NOT how you treat your customers. Again, I don't know how he gets ANY repeat clients.

On his website, he states that his company treats ""your home as their own"". I would hate to see their home then.

I'm beyond devastated at the situation he has left us in.

Please don't waste your money or time with this guy. He does not know his craft/industry as well as he says he does.

Thank you thank you! Came out within an hour. Fixed the issue fast. What plumber comes the same day you call? Greatful he did. Now I'll water in my kitchen this weekend!

John is my go to plumber every time. He fixed a huge disaster in my house with frozen pipes and every time he comes he's very clear about what's going on, my options, ways I can save money. He's a stand up guy who goes above and beyond. Today he went under my house to check my pressure regulator and discovered two of my HVAC vents were disconnected. He fixed those too. I recommend John. I'm disappointed by people who post nasty reviews to hurt another person's business. Please ignore them.

I have been trying to find a decent plumber in this town for fifteen years. I do not know why I never stumbled onto Mr. Shiver in the past, especially since he's located only three, or so, miles away. But, once I had him at the house, I did not pay him until he came back for two more days!

He installed 5 faucets / drains, 4 toilets and a water heater......and, fixed a problem that has tormented me since I bought this house 15 years ago.

I will definitely call him in the future for my plumbing needs.

John Shiver and his helper did a great job hooking up a new water heater and expansion tank for me. The price was as quoted and they worked hard to get the job done. They had already worked a long day so when they arrived at my house it was already after 5PM but they stayed and got it done. Ahhhhh ... Hot water!
