Ok first off this is my very first negative review, I was told if you don't have anything good to say say nothing at all. But since I feel I have been only given ""Lip Service"" by Sherlock. We have an air-conditioning unit installed around 3 years ago by Sherlock heating and plumbing the previous owners installed it. This system stopped working in July this year. Contacted Sherlock they said like 8 days until a tech could come. Too long for me I called Fuse HVAC next day came out and rebooted the system. It ran for 30 hours and quit. Sherlock they would guarantee it and sent a tech out about 10 days after initial request. Tech came out 2 hours later he decided it was a bad compressor, cost to fix $ 1,750 with warranty(wow!) so they said the part was unknown time frame to arrive. We ordered it after 3 weeks still no part and have to wait at least 3 more weeks. Called Fuse again they came out and identified a loose connection recrimped it to stay on better and now system is running. Compressor is good capacitor is good and both were previously said to be bad by Sherlock's Tech. Also on a monthly $9.99 Sherlock program that I don't use and they won't cancel it. Do I recommend them? No.

I had Sherlock Install 2 Lennox units in my home. Cost was somewhat competitive back in 2017. The service was decent but expensive compared to other vendors in the area. The company has recently been sold. I am not happy with the service as I cannot get a price for a repair that has been diagnosed by a competitor. Even a ballpark price was refused to me until their tech can inspect, which is whenever they have someone to come over with their workload and several techs out.

I will not Sherlock anymore. Look elsewhere for service.

So really starting to question my loyalty to Sherlock HVAC. I've been a ""VIP"" customer since 2016 when they installed a new A/C and Furnace for me. I've always depended on them for annual or semi-annual ""time-ups"" which I appreciate. However, today I am somewhat disappointed. Here is the story, more than a week ago, A/C shut off with an error code of E74 on the Nest. Appointment was set for the following week (which was last Friday). On Thursday, the day before my appointment, the A/C came back in with no more error code. I immediately called Sherlock and the girl on the phone basically told me with no error code, not much he can do except charge me $99 and call them back if it happens again.

Fast forward to today. I just get back from the store and every smoke detector starts going off. I go upstairs and notice water leaking through the smoke detector at the top of the stairs. I immediately think this A/C related and sure enough I go in the attic and see water actively leaking from the unit. I called Sherlock and the guy that answered took my info and told me he would forward it to Superior along with a description of the problem. I specifically asked for a call back either way so I know what to expect. I wait an hour and no call back. I call back again....same thing. The guy takes my info and will forward to the supervisor. Here it is at midnight with not a peep from Sherlock.

Sherlock: Why have someone answer the phone on weekends if your not going to follow up with the customer??? I get it that you might not get out to my house, but a call back would nice and professional and helps the customer manage expectations in case I need to find a 24 hour service. Really disappointing experience today when I really needed some help.

Sherlock to the rescue, once again! Had a slow moving drain; Kyle suggested we take a look with the ""camera"". Super high-tech, immediately found an issue; 35 year old plumbing is gonna have issues! Kyle just knew something wasn't right; definitely knows his stuff!

Our AC went out...We called and got someone to come out the same day. The technician didn't go inside to check the equipment, just fiddled around with a few things outside and told us the whole unit needed to be replaced, that it was ""not repairable"" and then quoted us for 15-20K for a new unit. We werent prepared to fork over that money.

We got a second company to come out, by this time its 89F with a humidity of 90% in the house. Same Day Heating and Air was able to fix the problem and keep us going so we can replace the whole unit when we are ready. Same Day Heating and Air was able to help us and advised we switch out the unit within the next year, but it took them 15 minutes to get us back up and running.

Im appalled at Sherlock's business model to push pricy equipment replacements even in the hottest month on the planet in recent human history (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/july-is-globes-hottest-month-in-recorded-history)

Does the AC unit need to be replaced? of course it does... Did the technician need to leave us in 89F with 90% humidity? Obviously not...

I think this has nothing to do with the technician, and more to do with the fact that Sherlock is pushing their employees to upsell new equipment replacements, even at the cost of leaving people in unnecessary living conditions. Equipment replacements may be cheaper with larger corporations like Sherlock and ASI, but we are nothing but numbers to them...as evidence by the complete lack of empathy and compassion shown by this company

Challenging Experience with Sherlock plumbing. Multiple Delays and Disappointments

I recently had the opportunity to engage with Sherlock plumbing for the installation of my HVAC system. While I must acknowledge their provision of 0% financing for 18 months, the overall experience left much to be desired. The company encountered various obstacles throughout the process that ultimately led to unnecessary delays and a subpar outcome.

To begin with, I was disappointed to learn that four individuals quit their positions during the course of the project. Don killian which over promised, under delivered. Miguel which was one of the people on the backend that was in charge of providing information to my HOA. Monica which worked with him. And other technician that left the first day of installation. This raised questions about the stability and reliability of the company's workforce, leading to concerns about the expertise of the remaining technicians assigned to my installation.

Moreover, Sherlock plumbing failed to provide the necessary documentation for HOA approval in a timely manner. This negligence resulted in additional delays, causing frustration and inconvenience for me as a customer for over several months. The lack of promptness in fulfilling this vital requirement not only put the project behind schedule but also displayed a lack of professionalism and attention to detail on the part of Sherlock AC.

Another issue that arose was the conduct of the company during the installation process. Despite assurances from Don that the new AC unit would operate silently, I found myself disappointed when it failed to meet my expectations. This switch-and-bait approach regarding the noise level created an unpleasant surprise that undermined my trust in the accuracy of information provided by Sherlock AC.

Furthermore, Sherlock AC's inability to secure the necessary permit from IPermit the first time only exacerbated the problems. This failure on their part not only added to the already existing delays but also raised concerns about the company's overall competence and ability to navigate through bureaucratic procedures.

I was also disappointed with their attempt to cross-sell additional items after the project. Initial verbal discussions with Don indicated that no further purchases would be necessary, and that included everything, including dampers and a new vent. The vent was provided, Yet the company persisted in pushing for additional items such as the dampers when they said there are no additional purchasable items and I would receive everything possible to maximize my system. This aggressive sales tactic not only breached our prior verbal agreement but also left a negative impression regarding the company's integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

While I recognize the value of the 0% financing option offered by Sherlock AC, it does little to outweigh the numerous issues and frustrations encountered throughout the process. Overall, the experiences I had with this company were far from satisfactory.

In conclusion, my encounters with Sherlock AC were characterized by multiple delays, unmet promises, unprofessional behavior, and an overall lack of transparency in their dealings with customers. I would advise caution when considering engaging their services, as my own experience demonstrates a clear need for improvement across various aspects of their business operations.

I used their website to make an appointment. I made an appointment. I got an email confirmation confirming my appointment. Morning of my appointment no one shows up during the 2 hour time window. I called in and some guy told me that their website doesn't work how it should and even though they saw I had made an appointment, no one was going to make it. They ""we're going to call me"" but they never did. Considering I had to change my work schedule to accommodate this false appointment, I am pissed off. Sherlock my ass, more like Inspector Clouseau.

I needed a new pressure regulator valve installed in my garage. Two very nice guys came out and quoted me $1,064.00. I asked how long it would take them and they said an hour. I asked why is was so expensive and they said the valve was really good quality and then went into a song and dance about liability and what not.

After they left I found the part on line was $200 and observed that the second guy just went around turning on and off the taps. So I feel only one plumber was needed.

Mad at myself because I feel robbed. I feel I paid $800 for an hours work (I am sure there was some drive time involved there also). I also found an old receipt from 2012 where I paid $149 for the part and about $75 for the labor.

My daughter thinks they took advantage of me as I am a single woman ""of a certain age"".

The two guys were charming and shook my hands as they basically robbed me. With my permission. I called and said the charge was outrageous and was told it reflected their high level of knowledge. I hope you are more cautious than me!

I had a drain that I had been trying to unclog for days. After several attempts at clearing it myself, I called Sherlock Plumbing, Heating, and Air. It certainly helped that I had received a coupon in the mail. The plumbing technician that arrived was Morghon. He was outstanding. Morghon was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and tidy. My drain was cleared in no time. This was my first time using Sherlock for a plumbing issue. I purchased an AC unit and heater from them in 2019 and that was also a good experience.

Everyone we spoke to was wonderful and so helpful. They were able to come out quickly and fix the issue the same day. AC has been working perfectly since then.
