We called him on a holiday weekend for a second opinion for my elderly mother-in-law who had been told the week before by another plumbing company that she needed to repipe her entire house. For a very reasonable fixed price, Ron came out on a Sunday and inspected her pipes and drains. There was no upsell or creative price adjusting as with the original plumber. Ron gave us a fair price estimate, conducted a thorough inspection and honored his quote.

Ron inspected all four of her bathrooms and found that there was NOT a major leak - just a leaky bathtub. His thorough testing and analysis showed that she did NOT need to repipe. Ron saved her THOUSANDS of dollars. This was a relief both financially and emotionally because we discovered later that the disreputable plumber who had previously inspected her pipes the week before and gave her a $9,000 quote to repipe had limited his inspection to only one bathroom.

More importantly, because my mother-in-law did have a water issue under her hardwood floors caused by faulty work done by the same plumber several months before, Ron connected her with a local restoration company that was experienced in working with her State Farm insurance adjuster. To our delight, this restoration company would take care of the clean up, restoration and move out -- with all services being potentially covered by her insurance.

So YES without a doubt, we whole heartedly recommend Ron and Sherlock Lead Detection.

They Found a leak that I haven't been able to find for months. I should have called months earlier. Well worth the fee. I spent more on water loss while trying to figure out where the leak was. I called at 6am and they called back at 8am per my request and was at my house at 11:30am per my request.

Arrived home from a 2 week vacation to find my wood floors buckling in my closet and bedroom. Looked on yelp to find a leak detection service and found sherlock. There aren't enough stars to give Ron for his service. He showed up quickly, found the leak almost immediately and walked me through the maze of what to do next. He recommended jms plumbing (another excellent service company) and a restoration company (911 restoration - another gem) to help with all of the damage. Its really overwhelming when you dont know where to start but Ron was so calm and professional in his advice and spent as much time as i needed to help me to understand the next steps. And then 2 weeks later i noticed a spot in a completely different location that i thought might be a problem and once again, although sadly it was in fact another leak, Ron was there to save the day. Although i havent yet finished dealing with my issues, i have every confidence that between Ron, Jms, and 911, my house will eventually be back to its original condition.

Well, nothing like having your water bill doubling in one month to make you rush to the phone to get some help. The Water Dept. verified not them so the leak must be somewhere on my property. Leak detection definitely not something can do myself so checked Yelp for a local person with the best review and fair prices. Can tell you now that if you are looking for someone knowledgeable and honest that Ron at Sherlock Leak Detection is your guy. The work performed was done expertly & efficiently. He took his time and ruled out every possibility before deciding where the leak (unfortunately) was. Called them early in the morning and was able to get the inspection a few hours later for an outside line leak. My whole patio is tiled so it was important for me to pinpoint the leak. Ron used his gadgets and marked two tiles where the leak was detected. He also pointed which tile to remove first. Next day the plumber removed the tile and sure enough, there was the leak on two different spots on a plastic pipe. Being accurate minimized the repair work and repair costs. This guy is good and fast
