First issue he had is that he couldn't find the property, and I had to talk him in multiple calls to give directions. His service fee was $125, and this was not considered a part of his labor costs. I should have paid him this and sent him on his way. I had told him that the oven was heavy. He brought no help, and no jack to be able to lift it. I, a disabled Vet, had to assist multiple times in the installation, as he was unable to do the work. He didn't measure anything, didn't even bring his tape measure in. I had to prove to him that the oven would fit, after he failed to get it in, multiple times. Once the oven was in place, he did no cleanup, just leaving everything in a pile in the floor. His total fee was more than I make in a month, and he gave no credit for my labor. Never again.

I had a wonderful experience with Shepps Residential Maintenance. I had a pipe burst that cause a major leak in my house. I was amaze that he was able to make it before the fire-department came. The fact the it was an unexpected emergency and he was still able to come just WOW! If your in need of a plumber I'd highly recommend receiving services with them.

Thank you for your quick response repairing the plumbing pipes. You did an awesome job your work was greatly appreciate it. Keep up the good work!

Ok so I've decided to have my master bathroom and my bedroom painted and decided that I would get a quote from these guys. They informed me that there would a fee to come and give me a quote, which was between $40 and $50 dollars. I'm a bit confused because this is for home improvement, it's not like calling an electrician, Plummer or contractor for something broken or some major issue that interferes with the operation of your home. I even asked if I approved him to do the work would the money go into the work. He said No. Also their place is only 5mins up the street. I don't know it just seems to me a little bogus to pay someone to tell you how much( they want to do a job for you, especially when it's something that I don't have to do. I might have to go find a couple of Mexicans for the job ......

This business is a rip off. Bad attitude and poor quality work. Stay away from them.

Not only was the work completed in a timely manner, but he showed us what the problem was, how he fixed it, and ways to prevent issues in the future. We recommend him to anyone who needs repairs in their home or business. Great work Shepp!!

Shepp completed plumbing work for us in the past and it was done pretty well, so we called him back again. After the second visit, I went online to look at reviews and noticed some complaints were similar to mine on other sites including the BBB. When Shepp was called for a quote his response was """"I'm not going to hit you over the head"""". What professional does that? When dealing with a professional they give you an exact rate PRIOR to doing the working (give or take a few dollars), they just don't leave it up in the air. That's already shysty in my opinion. When he arrived he had a worker with him who decided to work without his shoes fully on his feet. He had his feet slid into his shoes like flip flops. I would not think that is safe when your work required you to lift a heavy oven. Did he just pull one of his friends off the streets? (Also see the BBB review where it seemed he asked someone else for more money to pay an """"employee"""". The two workers did not seem to be prepared to work asking my husband for items to help them out and us running up and down the stairs to turn off and on the fuse box. I did not realize we would have to work also. After talking with my husband he charged over $300 to install an oven with electrical work already completed. Based on the national average the cost is $162 to replace an existing oven already grounded. He advised my husband he had to charge more to pay his employees. His employee was not prepared to work which he himself (Shepp) stated out loud. And if this guy was not licenses or trained and was just helping to lift an oven why was he being paid more than $50 or $60? National average$162(Replacement of an existing oven with some additional work needed) Low: $125(Replacement of existing oven on the ground floor of a home) High: $275(Installation of a new, double oven with electrical work) - THIS IS COPIED AND PASTED DIRECTLY FROM THE INTERNET When they left they did not clean up the mess they left. They totally scratched up the case of the oven telling me it needed to be resized. When I called back the company I purchased the oven from, the guy came out alone as was able to get the oven in the case with simply putting the box back in the wall. Something Shepp couldn't do. He is also the one who advised that the cost to install an oven only runs $100 which made me research the information above. I will be contacting the BBB along with filing a complaint about overpricing. I do see that Shepp also had a complaint with the BBB. A company should be more professional to provide an exact quote on work, the provide a receipt, and that the workers that are assisting him are presentable and safe. I don't mind paying for work done or attempted... .but I do not want to pay Bergdorf Goodman prices for Walmart quality work and I feel I was overcharged based on industry averages. Again this review is focused on professionalism and overpricing.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Charged a fee for coming out and didn't even stay ten minutes. He doesn't want to do the work, he's just floating around to get his service fee for work he's not doing. I also noticed that his service fee is different per household. Will NEVER use him again.

I used Shepp's to frame a bathroom in my basement. He showed up on time and completed the work in a day. His crew was professional and courteous. Moreover, they left their work area clean and informed me they would be back if I needed any alterations. I would recommend them.

Don't waste your time calling (Shepp's). I'm not going to go into all the details. But he wanted to charge me $3,200 for a job I ended up paying only $375 for. This is a total rip-off and should be against the law. So if you value your time and money. Call someone else!!! And he had the nerve to ask for half the money upfront...Can you believe this s_ _t! A lot of nerve!!!
