A few days ago our water heater stopped working and we called Dave. He came the next day to take a look, found we needed a new heater, told us our options and costs, then installed a tankless water heater for us - all in the same day. He had to readjust his schedule for us and was, as always, very careful, creative in figuring out where to install the heater at our 1920's craftsman house, and impeccable in his work. He's also very personable, explains everything and is a genuinely nice person.

We have worked with Shelton Plumbing for many years. They installed a tankless water heater. It was not easy. The gas meter was on the other side of the house and they had to crawl in a very tight area under the house to bring the line over. We now love our water heater. We were about to spend thousands of dollars on lining a waste pipe to the street. Dave Shelton used root killer and another product to clean off the calcium build up in the toilet. We have not had a problem with an overflowing toilet ever since. He saved us lots of money. Dave installed a kitchen faucet for us. I chose one and he said to get one with a satin finish to match the appliances and hardware. He really cares about our home.
Shelton Plumbing's costs are very reasonable.
We are happy to give them 5 stars.

Called Shelton plumbing today an Dave was able to stop by. Had a clogged sink which was causing a weird rattle in my wall. Had him look at a issue in my kitchen as well. He was able to take care of everything in a timely manner. Very impressed with his confidence/knowledge. I have seen his truck in my neighborhood before so felt comfortably giving this company a shot. Extremely happy an will refer him to others.

I own a home and rental units in Normal Heights and occasionally have the need for plumbing assistance. I've called on Dave multiple times over the years for various repair needs and have allways had a positive experience. Yesterday one of my tenants informed me that his shower wasn't working properly, I text Dave asking when he could be available to look at it and he responded immediately saying he could be out first thing in the morning the next day. He came out today as promise, fixed the problem and it was no hassle at all. This has been my experience with him on multiple occasions, I have found him to be very competent, reliable, available in a timely manner, with reasonable charges. I would recommend him without reservation.

So happy we got Dave's name from our neighbor. He came out within an hour after I first called him and give us an opinion on the mess that is our sewer system (the joys of owning an old home). It was so nice to have someone who knows these old neighborhoods (Normal Heights, Kensington, North Park) and how things work. Such a relief to have his card and know who to call for future needs. He actually advised us not to spend any money now, so clearly not in it to rip us off!

Dave just completed a big job for us and his work was impeccable. After 7:00 PM we noticed our water heater was leaking. He picked up the phone after his posted business hours and rearranged his schedule so that he could squeeze us in first thing the next morning. He spent time investigating the problem and explained possible solutions. We decided to install a tankless water heater and are so happy with Dave's excellent work. He is an honest plumber with more than 30 years experience. He is reliable, punctual and fair. His prices are WELL below the advertised plumbers we see on TV. Dave has a great personality and sense of humor which was an added bonus.
