Just had a $59.00 preventative maintenance done. I so appreciated the serviceman, Jason. He was knowledgable, and explained everything to me. He made some recommendations for the future. What I liked the most was I felt like I could trust him. No strong arm tactics! I will use this company next year as well.

Didn't show up for the appointment...

I called and made an appointment for air conditioning tune up. Was given a time frame of 12 to 5 pm. Very large time window and but still stayed home the whole afternoon. Around 3:30 called again to make sure the tech will be arriving and was told that they are very busy but I am next. Waited another hour but nobody showed up. Get a phone call from tech around 4:47 pm that on the way another 4 miles but I told him don't come. It was going to be another 2 hours of work at least and didn't wanted to ruin my Friday evening.

They should have called promptly to keep me informed. If their customer service is this bad and cannot schedule people correctly, I am not sure what else they cannot do.

Will be using someone else.

Very prompt, and most importantly, honest service. I've had many bad experiences with other A/C companies over the years, as many mis-diagnose problems, or try to sell you parts that aren't bad. Sheldon's has always been honest with great service on the several jobs they've done for me and my rental properties.

Sheldons was great! The techs came out very quick and fixed my AC. The tech was super friendly and went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the work. They were super reasonably pricey and glad I went with them! I will definitely use them in the future!!

I noticed my A/C bill had doubled and the air wasn't coming out cold upstairs. I called my, ""Friend"" who is in the A/C business. He came out and said nothing was wrong. I argued that my unit was working way too hard to cool the house but his inspection turned up nothing. He topped off my refrigerant, cleaned my coils, and called it a day.

The air was cold for about two days, then faded back to, not so cold. I called my friend back out but he never showed. I decided to find somebody else and came across Sheldon's on the internet and gave them a call because they had great reviews.

John came out and inspected the system for $30. He found the refrigerant was low and suspected there must be a leak since I had just had it filled. He entered the attic and immediately found a leak in my evaporator coils. He told me don't fear because the evaporator coil should still be under warranty.

He called the manufacturer and negotiated a new unit at no cost. We scheduled an appointment for install. Although the installation was not cheap, it was still a great price compared to what everybody else had posted on the internet.

Sheldon's employees drove out to Riverside to pick up the warranty replacement and brought it to my house. They laid down plastic on the carpet, their uniforms were clean, and they each greeted me with a firm handshake. They were extremely respectful and patient even with my dog and four monster kids running around the house.

They removed the leaky unit from the attic and inspected the warranty replacement from the manufacturer, prior to installing it. Its a good thing they did because they discovered that unit was also defective with poor welding and dents in three of the coils.

They drove back to the manufacturer and retrieved a second, new unit. After a few hours it was installed and my house dropped from 84 to 78 in no time at all.

These guys are awesome. Five stars all the way. Everybody I dealt with, from the owner to the secretary, the technician to the installers. They were all a pleasure to deal with. I'm extremely pleased with their service.

Diagnostic fee was $30.00. Service tech was friendly. Tech replaced blower motor and capacitor. He was very knowledgeable and explained why the parts needed to be changed. Cost of parts seemed to be over priced though.

Service was very prompt and friendly. Diagnostic fee was $30.00 and done quickly. Tech replaced broken igniter and cleaned off flame sensor. Cost for new igniter was 326.00 so total repair was $356.00. New OEM igniter listed by an Internet vendor is listed as $59.05 plus freight.

The reason for three missing stars is that, while I certainly expect a business to operate at a profit and to pay for expertise, a markup of over 540% on an igniter from less than 59.05 to $326.00 appears to be a bit excessive.

I love Sheldon's! They actually FIX things instead of just trying to sell you a new unit every time something breaks. We've been using them for all of our heating and a/c repairs for several years now, and they're always prompt, efficient and reasonable. James -- the workman who usually comes to our place -- explains everything, shows you the parts he replaces and is quick and reliable, too.
