Horrible customer service. I called the number listed online to check if they have previously pumped our septic at the address of our house we are purchasing. the health department had no records and I thought I would do some investigating to gather information.

the guy on the phone said, ""why don't you schedule a pumping so that way you know"" obviously that's what I'm trying to do but would rather get some information before going into this blindly. Rude and won't ever recommend them again.

DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY. We gave Shelar Sanitation a $2,000 deposit to install a new drainfield. They immediately cashed our check but stalled and stalled. Never provided a quote or a date to start the work. When we repeatedly contacted them, the answer to everything was Soon... By May (which was a full three months after the deposit was cashed) they essentially bailed on the job. We agreed to pay the cost of the permit. However, almost three weeks later, only half of the deposit was refunded. They kept $400 just because. Wow! What a rip off. Take the money and run. They didn't earn the $400 they kept. Moreover we are without a drainfield (and or hard earned money).

This company is only interested in making a quick buck without doing any physical labor. They are not up to par with quality service that you would expect from this type of business. Literally call anyone else!

I contacted Shelar's after observing them pump a tank at a facility I was working at. We've been in our home for almost 11 years and never had our tank pumped. Out of curiosity I asked the driver what it typically costs to have a tank pump, and I was pleasantly surprised it was fairly inexpensive $385-$500 depending on the tank size. I called their office that day and was surprised that they could get a truck over to my house that week. The office manager informed my that I could dig up the lid myself or they would find the lid and dig it up for a fee. The night prior my son and I were able to find the tank and start digging. It only took a few minutes to find the lid. We did a nice job clean all the topsoil from the area around the lid. The next morning Shelar's driver called as he left their yard and arrived to our home earlier then the appointment time. He didn't waste any time removing the lid and began pumping and mixing up the waste. It took them about 30 minutes and the entire job was complete. I was presented a bill at the end and they even take card at time of completion. I was so impressed with my entire experience thus far with Shelar's that I've contacted them 3 more times. I've passed their card to my customers that are Looking to have their tanks pumped. I've used them to install septic tanks on upcoming builds.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They came out September 29th and promised to install a septic tank by mid October. They finally came out earlier this week and said, it's raining we can't do it. Tuesday it was raining. Wednesday I called and they said oh it rained this morning. We will be out
Friday, it's supposed to rain Friday!! Today is Thursday and a beautiful day they should be out today!! They even said yesterday oh Miss Dig SHOULD have been out!! Why didn't they check this? We are selling our home and trying to purchase another. We may loose out on the house we are trying to buy because of this company!! Awful business!!

I received a flier in the mail from this company. I had sold my home and was having the septic pumped as a courtesy to the new buyers. I scheduled the appt and was told that they would charge to uncover the lids, but typically it would not take long to do this. He suggested that we could do this ourselves but being a single women, I didn't know the first thing about it. The final bill for this service ended up being $675.00 with no phone call advising me of the vast price increase. When I contacted them I was told by the owner that he actually broke a sweat doing this job and he offered to make things right and send me a check for $25.00. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
