Quoted a high sewer pipe replacement, with a bunch of possibilities that they might need to do, including removing and reinstalling the sidewalk covering the sewer line. Apparently, they did not need to do all of the quoted work to get the job finished... But yet the final amount due not change from the higher quote of extra work. Bunch of scammers. Get a detailed line by line quote.... And when they go outside the quote, they need to be held accountable.
6 hrs of work at $700/hr.... Outrageous.
So, what you're saying is that you think only doing half of the quoted worst case scenario and charging the same price is good business? I call it a good good scam.
Advice to anyone getting a future quote from these guys... Get a line by line detailed quote up front, and pay for the work they perform, not premium pay for work they did not perform.
I understand that permits and paperwork needed to be performed. As well as behind the scenes items, which did not make it to the quote. Again, the devil is in the details.
Other reviews stated the same issues, that paperwork and history of entire systems were not maintained. I don't think it's worth future Business with them, with these practices. Look elsewhere.
Tommy B.Our sump pump was continuously running, but not pumping water. This was a problem because our water softener, furnace and dehumidifier all put water into this sump. Not sure who to call, I did a search and recognized the name Sheesley's. The reviews were very positive, so I thought I'd call. The woman I talked to in the office was very professional and said she would definitely send a crew to fix this. It took a couple of hours before they came, but this was actually quite fast as all of their crews were engaged on other projects. The two that came to the house were terrific. They quickly figured out the problem and commenced to replace the sump pump. After a successful installation, they monitored the pump to insure it was was doing exactly what they thought it should be doing. I was extremely happy with the service provided. I would definitely recommend them for future work.
There staff was courteous when they arrived to help unclog toilets in 2 bathrooms. They were able to fix one bath but still problems with second. Said I needed to replace toilet as it was leaking. They came back four days later to replace toilet but still would not flush properly. Said they would return after weekend and I was charged a total $864.00. Over weekend noticed the toilet was still leaking and had buckled the floor. Called early Monday and they said they would be back to fix at no charge ...Came back and now they say I have broken pipe under my house and an crew would be in touch to set up appointment. They left ...no charge because they did not do anything. I found the leak in toilet after they left where line feeding water to tank was loose and dripping. They didn't even fix that. I shut the valve off believing they would be back. I finally had to call to set an appointment. I was told they'd call right back...they didn't. I called again and was told they could not help me beca their insurance would not coverthem to crawl under house. Nearly $900 spent and I'm still unable to use the bath, shower or washing machine now. They offered me no advice or help to fix broken pipe. Find another company.
AWFUL COMPANY! Extremely rude, unknowledgeable and unprofessional. Issue not properly addressed from the start. Brought the wrong equipment the first day, wrong pump the second day... wanted to pump septic into an exposed area... Owner Mike is a huge scammer, too! Oh, and the workers decided to light up cigarettes while trying to place a new pump. Yikes!
Brian H.I had them come out less than six weeks ago for an issue with a drain and having it snaked. The issue came right back and was not properly addressed by the company. If you're looking for a good experience, please look elsewhere. However, I would highly recommend Falkowski Sewer Service, they found a mass of roots that was missed by Sheesley's and were able to correct the issue with ease, and in no time at all!
Sheesley's have been taking care of all our needs since 2001 and have always been prompt & accurate with their quotes.
Cleaned the area when finished & always followed up about their service.
I would recommend them for any septic needs.

I, too, was scammed by Sheesleys. They quoted a price to pump my tank (routine maintenance). Yet, charged me $150+ more without seeking preapproval at the time of pumping. When I complained in writing to the owner, I wasn't even given the courtesy of a reply. When I complained twice to the office staff, I was repeatedly told Mike would contact me and explain. I called 3+ times, before he finally did so. When he did, he claimed the quoted price was higher because they didn't know how big my tanks were DESPITE the fact that Sheesleys INSTALLED my Norweco system for approx. $11,000! Therefore, how is it they were unaware of the size of the system considering they NOT ONLY installed it, BUT had pumped it out just two years earlier! Best part is, when I mentioned it to my real estate attorney, I was told that this was not the first time they had had a complaint from a client about Sheesleys charging more than what was originally quoted.
If I recall correctly, I have paid Sheesleys at least $15,000.00 since purchasing my home ten years ago. For them to lack the courtesy to put their customer first or at least negotiate with their customer, speaks volumes. There are a lot of good sewer service companies out there. You're better off choosing one of them than taking a risk on this one.
Arthur R.A famous doctor once said that we have the plumbers to thank for our societal health-not the doctors who help us to heal us once we are sick! This is especially true of Sheesley's Sewer Service: they are prompt, they are professional, and they do for you what you cannot do for yourself.
We recommend Sheesley's with highest confidence that in a moment of greatest need you will receive trustworthy service.
Ed B.Probably the most rude plumbers I've ever met
I needed a faucet changed in my tenants bathtub
They were sarcastic and rude. Being first thing in the morning 8:45am I would expect them to have a clean appearance and not stink. They had it changed in about an hour or so without an issue and charged me almost $200 to change out a faucet that I supplied for them !!
Retiredco A.From the start, dealing with Mike Cowan
and Sandy, to the very end and completion of the job with Ron, Chuck, and Mike, it has been a + ++.
Needing a total replacement of my main sewer line, I contacted Sheeslys Sewer Service.
All parties involved were extremely courteous knowledgeable and professional.
The job was done on time and to my total satisfaction.
Kudos to Ron, who could operate the equipment with a raw egg between his hand and the joysticks!!
My thanks to all involved on this job.
