This company was scheduled to come out by my home warranty company. The tech, Josh, was several hours late, but called me that morning to let me know he would be running behind. He gets to my home and tells me the leak is not covered by warranty because the cartridge was improperly installed. I think he said it was installed upside down or backwards. He tells me it won't leak anymore. It starts leaking again the next day and the shower had not been used. I resubmitted the work order and Josh called me right away to let me know he tried to do me a favor and a return visit would not be covered by the warranty and to cancel the work order. He said for him to replace the shower cartridge would cost me $400. Now the fixtures are brand new. They've never been used except to test them after install and for a pressure test on the home system. All the plumbing in my house is brand new. I figure for $400 I can fix it myself. Well I take the cartridge out and realize that it is not possible to install it incorrectly. It had clips and notches that make it fit only one way. Impossible to install upside down or backwards unless you beat it into the wall destroying everything in the process. The actual issue is one small missing rubber seal. I contacted the manufacturer to have a new seal shipped to me. Now why did Josh tell me it was improperly installed upside down or backwards? Why did he want to replace the cartridge when it was only missing a small seal? Why $400? At this point I don't think he really even looked at it. I paid $85 for an asshole to come to my house, lie to my face, and try to charge me $400 to replace a $30 brand new shower cartridge on a fixture set that was $105 when it needed a .02¢ seal. This company over charges and under-delivers. Josh is lazy, unreliable, and will lie to your face.

I recently used Shawn Frye Plumbing for my bathroom remodel. They were so nice to deal with from my first call. Shawn and his guys are polite, on time, do good work at a reasonable price. Also very considerate of your home, taking off their shoes when entering.
When we'd have to wait for me to have something else installed before they could finish the plumbing work, they always came back promptly. Didn't leave me waiting for weeks. When there was a little problem, Shawn came back and fixed it the next day!! The ladies on the phone are awesome too, always kept me informed what time they would be here.
They all made what can be a very stressful process much easier.
Shawn Frye will be my go to plumber from now on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
