Needed new plumbing for our bathtub. Easy to make the appointment and it was not a long wait. David, the technician gave us the three possible options. He was able to do the work, needing to go through a bedroom wall for access. We then needed to schedule to have the wall repaired. Everything was cleaned up and the new faucet/shower works perfectly.

Our kitchen sink plugged up over the weekend. I contacted Shaw yesterday and they had two technicians come out first thing this morning. They got the block cleared, very professional, price was about what I expected.


I would definitely recommend Shaw to anyone needing drain repairs.

I called Shaw to get a second opinion. They were very easy to contact, had great customer service, and were very professional. Their estimate was half what the other plumbing service wanted to charge me, and they did a great job. I also appreciate that they do free estimates.

Called Shaw Plumbing to replace our garbage disposal. Had to have them return because they forgot to connect it to our dishwasher properly and it backed up. My wife works for a national hardware store. In casual conversation with a local plumber, she mentioned that the job cost more than $1000.00. He told her we were ripped off at that price. She canvassed other plumbing contractors who frequent the store who also said we'd been had. That's how Shaw Plumbing preys upon elderly customers!! Beware!!!

Requested outside faucet repair. Cory Christie was able to identify the problem and fixed the leak. He was very pleasant and took our concerns about how to make sure we winterize correctly. He did a great job. We would definitely recommend him.

Shaw Plumbing was recommended to me last year and they are now my go-to for all my plumbing needs - and I've recommended them to others, too. They are prompt, courteous and such nice people. They always have the patience to answer my ""old broad"" questions and explain everything for me. Had them replace two outdoor faucets last year and this year they've installed a new kitchen faucet and disposal and will be doing a water softener later this week. (And I also love the fact that they're local family owned and, when you call, you will immediately be connected to a real live person!!). Thanks to you all - you're the best!

Got a quote today to move some supply lines and drains in my basement for a remodel. Nothing big- no breaking into the concrete floor for the drains. Just putting a T into the existing sewer drain and re-routing the water pipes with pex. An 8 hour job, as they and other plumbers have told me.
I get a quote today that they can do the job for just shy of $4000.
That's hilarious.
Or it would be, if they didn't feel so brazen as to give me such a ridiculous quote.
Their price breakdown:
$350 for a permit
An assumed $400 for taxes.
So that leaves a balance of like $3200 for labor. Divided into an 8-hour day, that's $400/hour.
It would not require more than one person to do this job, so that would be $400/hour/person.
I'm sure they're gouging other people out there often enough that they feel this is standard practice.
I won't bother ever calling them again.
