We had a major blockage in the drain line from our kitchen sink to the sewer line at our home in Lincoln. I called Shane on the phone on Saturday, and he said he could come out early on Monday morning to fix the problem. We also had several text message exchanges. He was very helpful and responsive. He showed up on time on Monday morning with his helper, Tyler. I was very impressed with their diligence in clearing the blockage. Tyler ran the snake back and forth several times through the drain line to make sure all the grease and debris was removed, and there was a lot to remove. Then they put soapy hot water down the drain and ran the snake through the line again to dissolve the remaining grease. I am very happy with the work that was done, and will definitely use them again for future plumbing issues. I am also happy with the very fair standard price Shane charges for cleaning out an indoor drain. Highly recommended.

So the day before Thanksgiving we were traveling to visit family, when all of a sudden my security system notified me someone was at my door. It was my neighbor and he told me that there is an insane amount of water flowing into their yard from ours. Not Good!!

We called the water department, who quickly came out and assessed the situation. According to their readings we had a significant leak in the main water line, something in the magnitude of 5-7 gallons per minute. We quickly had them shut off the water at the city valve/meter.

Being new to this area, our next communication was a mass text to all our neighbors asking them for local plumber recommendations. We had a handful of recommendations come back, one of which was Shane's Plumbing.

My wife and I called a few of these plumbers but given the long Holiday weekend, we only heard back from 2 of the recommended plumbers, one of which was Shane.

Shane was the first plumber to get us on his books and come to our house to assess the situation. Shane was professional and courteous from the get-go. He and his co-worker inspected the area, and quickly locked in onto one spot where they believed the leak to be. Shane proceeded to give me an estimate on the spot to find and fix the leak and also replace our aging water shutoff valve at the house. We agreed on price and arranged to start the work the following morning.

The next morning Shane and Tyler show up and quickly get to moving massive amounts of earth to get to the leak, which was located where the PVC piping from the meter joined with the main copper piping that ran to the house valve. We knew this was the source of the leak, because when we turned on the water at the main valve, we saw water shooting 5-8' straight up into the air. I've never seen anything like and was noticeably concerned. Shane and Tyler on the other hand remained cool and proceeded to repair the issue with new couplings.

After some time we tested the repair by turning on the water line and everything worked perfectly. No leak and no spinning water meter! I was super happy to say the least. Once we tested all faucets, toilets, and showers in the house, Shane and Tyler jumped into cleanup mode.

They carefully filled the hole with the dirt they excavated earlier, and then proceeded to take care of the cosmetic pieces as well. All the rocks that lined our pathway were put back carefully, they laid down new landscaping fabric, and covered that with the river rocks they moved out the way earlier. When they were done, the place looked great!!

All in all I would highly recommend Shane's plumbing to anyone who is looking for professional, knowledgable, and hard working plumbers.
