We had a self-created plumbing emergency and had no hot water. I tried to contact our ""regular"" plumber but wasn't able to reach anyone. I called Shaka and was shocked when Amber said they could have someone out that same day at 11:00. Shortly before 11:00, Jeremy called to let me know that Neil was on his way. Neil arrived, assessed the situation, said he could fix it - on the spot - and he was done in about 20 minutes. BONUS - it didn't cost me nearly as much as I expected. I couldn't have been more impressed! Looks like we have a new ""regular"" plumber!

They quoted $130. They did not repair the toilet leak and charged me about $300 for replacing tank parts (flapper, handle) and that was NOT the problem. 29 days later we finally noticed that the toilet STILL had this very slow leak. Blue copper stains were evident that it had been leaking for a long time. Neil and Nick refused to fix it unless they were paid again... $200-300 more?. They said my call was 31 days later and they only warrant 30 days. I called another plumber who fixed it in 20 minutes with a $130 quote. That other plumber said Shaka was inexperienced and should have known where the leak was. It was so obvious what needed to be replaced. A simple rubber gasket in the copper connection was old and replaced. Leak stopped and toilet works perfect now. I feel that I wasted $300 on Shaka Plumbing plus my time and patience. I will say that Neil and Nick were friendly and nice. But they do not conduct honest business. You are taking a risk hiring these guys.

Called one week ago regarding a clogged sink. I never received a call back. I tried to use drano but that only was a band aid. The issue came back and this is my sink where the central AC condensate drain empties into near the P trap. It backed up my AC unit which tripped off and wouldn't turn back on. Called Allen's plumbing after hours and a local rep called me back quickly. The issue was fixed the same day. Perhaps my job was too small for this company?

BEWARE!! SHAKA PLUMBING scammed us out of $250. They came out to give us an estimate and (OVER)charged us $250 to change the knob in our shower. The repair was scheduled for the next morning. The next morning came SHAKA Plumbing came out and told us they cannot do the repair because they would have to make to many modifications to complete it. So we decided to try to fix it ourselves, we went out and bought the part for $11 and my mom installed it under a minute. We are currently still waiting for our refund from them but every time we call no one answers. We also contacted the CONTRACTORS OF HAWAII and they told us that SHAKA Plumbing isn't even licensed any more, their license is EXPIRED! And, the funny thing is they emailed my mom the invoice and told her ""we hope you're satisfied with our service"". Really, are you kidding me? Their service is just HORRIBLE!! Think twice before you call them for an so called FREE estimate.

I wanted to give a Shout-Out to Shaka Plumbing, and the owner and this is probably 6 months or more late coming, thanks to Neil the owner, who came and replaced my Kitchen faucet and repaired my water lines, very nice, personable and dependable Plumber/Owner. I've known him since November 2014, I'd say he's one of a few Companies that I would recommend to service your plumbing needs.

Fast service and reasonable prices. My water main ruptured and they came the next day. I was expecting to pay more than they charged, and they went the extra mile to make sure everything was good and we were taken care of. Would use again and would definitely recommend!!

Neil does a great job, and i highly recommend him to all my friends and family on the leeward coast! He charges very reasonable prices, but most importantly he gets the job done right! He's very responsive and quick! I HIGHLY recommend Shaka Plumbing! MAHALO!

We had a water pipe leak under our townhouse Foundation n called Shaka's plumbing n talked to Neil told him the problem we were having n he said.. I'll come out 2moro n he came out next day n found out problem why we didn't have any hot water..Neil did an awesome job rerouting all our plumbing n did this all in 3days, its really hard to find a honest plumber now days.. The first day they started to fix our plumbing.. neil asked my husband are you ready fo some hot water? My husband said yes! We didn't have hot water fo 2 months.. A Big Mahalo to Shaka plumbing!! We are so blessed to meet Christian brother.. solve plumbing problem awesome job 100% honest refer him to others

My toilet works again! Yay! Got quoted $120 on the phone but got charged $130 plus tax. When the plumber came out of his vehicle, he was holding a tablet and I was confused with what he wanted to do because he didn't have any tools on him. I don't remember if he introduced himself either. Anyway, he started following me to my door and so I asked him if he wanted to see my clogged toilet.. He told me, ""Oh is that what it is? How much did they quote you?"" I told him $120. So he went to grab his tools and he came inside and I showed him where my bathroom was. He took probably 15 minutes to fix my toilet which was great. Afterwards, I followed him to his car so he wouldn't have to come back upstairs for the payment. He told me the total was $136 and for some reason I thought the extra cost was tax so I signed it without question. I checked my receipt later and sure enough I was charged $130. I think something as simple as a clogged toilet should have the same price all around. What's the basis for charging one person $10 more than the other? Anyway, I gave the plumber bottled water and $150 and told him to keep the rest but I didn't feel like he appreciated the gesture at all. He said thank you and proceeded to put his tablet away and I kinda just looked at him thinking, ""Ok bye?"" Lolllllll. It was kind of awkward so I just turned around and went back inside. He got the job done though and I'm super thankful for him coming on the same day I called so three stars for that.

At first I scheduled an appointment and the plumber didn't show up or call to say he couldn't make it. However, when I called back today the gentleman that answered the phone was very polite and he apologized for yesterday's mishap. The plumber that came to my houses name is Neil and Neil not only did a great job but he was a nice guy too. He even had the courtesy to remove his boots before coming into the house. When Neil was finished he apologized again for the no call no show and he told me that he would charge me for only part of the work he did today. I would absolutely without a doubt call Shaka plumbing again if I have plumbing problems. I can see why they have 5 star Yelp reviews, it's because they're honest plumbers who conduct themselves in a professional way. They truck Neil drove was clean and well organized and even the clothing that he wore was clean and he had his shirt tucked in which shows that these guys care about what they do and they take it seriously.
