First visit, was the best and then it went down hill, WAY down hill. We had no AC and the tech (real nice guy) was able to find the issue right away and before he left, our place was an icebox. We then went away for a weekend and I turned off the AC, upon coming back and waiting well over 12 hours the house was not getting cool, so we called back Shahood and the same tech came out - he couldn't find any issue but does tinker with the system in the attic to adjust the airflow and gives everything a once over. He then tells us that we should never turn the AC off in the summer and it takes time to cool things back down. OK - so magically things cooled down the first heat way visit but not now? This visit cost 3 times as much as the first visit - writes up the invoice and states that everything looks good including the drains...

See where I'm going with this. Three days later the ceiling is soaked, drain issue. Two new techs cover over try and blame the installation (your coworker just told us everything was fine). The system is 7 yrs old with 0 issues until now. They then state that the first tech could have caused this if he did X (something about blowing or cleaning a dry outlet pipe).

Obviously, we called back Shahood who was very defensive with my wife. We wanted a resolution of either painting the ceiling or refunding the call that led to the leak. He tells us he already did us a favor by fixing it (ya know the issue they caused) he tells my wife to go through our homeowners insurance and that it couldn't be pinned on his tech. No drain issue + tech looking at drain and stating he serviced and is OK + Leak 2 days later + your techs telling us how this could have been caused by the previous Tech = Insurance claim? I don't think so. Too bad customer service is dead if there's another issue we will be calling someone else.

Shahood helped us out in a plumbing emergency when a workman accidentally cut a pipe. Since then we also used them to replace our boiler. They are very helpful and responsive, and the work is fairly priced. Reliable and professional. They are my go to plumbers . They are also highly recommended on local Facebook groups and google.

I booked my appointment in advance. I gave information about what I wanted addressed. Everything seemed good to go. As my appointment day approached I was then asked to postpone my appointment by a couple days. Not ideal with a broken toilet on the main floor, but manageable. When the day finally came, two workers showed up at 8am in the morning and immediately stated they don't have time to address everything today. (way to make someone feel like a valued customer - NOT!) They proceeded to do 2 of the 5 main items, were here about three hours and seemingly pressured by a higher-up to hurry up. The toilet they replaced is loose and isn't even the one I agreed on having installed. I still need a plumber to address the other issues that they couldn't be bothered with.

There is nothing much worse in appliance land than discovering your hot water heater has failed. I called Shahood and Sons after another reputable company quoted what I thought was an exorbitantly high price to install a water heater. Shahood was here within an hour of my call, had a new water heater installed in less than 24 hours, and did it all for HALF the price the other company wanted to charge. Their customer service is outstanding; from the lovely woman who answers the phones to the men who came to do the work, everyone was friendly, professional, and efficient. Mark, the owner, even called me himself, answered my questions, and explained my options in detail. We haven't been so impressed with a company in a long time; they have earned a customer for life.
