After their marriage in 1989, Steve and Ruthe opened Shafer Plumbing Contractors as owner/operators. The business has evolved from a small family operation into a comprehensive plumbing service focused on addressing the needs of a wide range of customers. Our technicians are trained in the same problem-solving approach that has earned Shafer Plumbing Contractors its reputation over the years: Whether it's a small home repair or a large commercial job, our primary goal is to uncover our customers' needs and address their plumbing challenges.
In the 1970s, Steve Shafer entered the industry as a solar contractor in Nevada, before relocating to Orange County, where he focused on solar systems and water filtration and purification.
When Steve and Ruthe married in 1989, they opened their doors as owner/operators of Shafer Plumbing Contractors.
