This is my forever heating and AC repair company. They were recommended to me by a friend that uses them and has been satisfied. I was In a situation that I had no ac on a hot day and could find none of the people I knew that could help me. I called them almost as a last resort. Not only were they understanding of my plight, they were happy to help. Within 2 hours from my original call, I was up and running and getting cool. I was called all during the time for their arrival, they may be a few minutes late etc. excellent caring company. They were above and beyond professional. Awesome company, I highly recommend them if you need service.

Man, what a great company! Fair, honest and friendly!!!

I was up visiting my Mom and came to find out that her tankless hot water heater wasn't working (kind of one of those inconvenient emergencies!!). I went to the Rinnai website and found SG Heating and Air Conditioning as one of a few authorized service places and called them to see if they could help. Janice was so friendly and understanding and said they would try to accommodate us (it's important to understand this is at 8:30 AM on a Friday (Veterans Day - Nov 10, 2017). Before we hung up we had an appointment for between 12 and 1 for the same day.

Scott (owner and technician) was there at 11:30 (kudos for being early) and got right to work. He is a super friendly guy and has a lot of good experience-he used to repair units on commercial marine ships (think big oil tankers).

So many people want to know of you can trust contractors. Let me say in this case absolutely you can. We found out that the unit was just fine and Mom had accidentally turned off the gas line outside when trying to turnoff the sprinkler system (who knew that someone would have put the dedicated gas line shutoff valve right by the hose/sprinkler bib shutoff). Instead of trying to overcharge us with some fake problem, Scott just charged us for the system check and tune up (which he had to do anyway to diagnose the problem). Just under $150 with tax - a fair deal in my book.

We will absolutely recommend and use SG again, and I suggest you do as well.

My experience with SG heating & air was negative. I spoke to Scott who I believe owns the company and he gave me a price to come over and check out the issue with my air conditioner. Scott came over checked out my unit and found a wire which blocked the compressor propeller from turning. He untangled it and it worked just fine. Scott then proceeded to charge me three times more than he quoted me. In addition he told me if I didn't pay him cash the price would be even higher. BAD EXPERIENCE don't know how this Character can sleep at night. This was my personal experience with SG Heating& Air and I suggest you get all quotes in writing if you choose to hire them.

I was faced with a tough choice; spend $2000 to line my chimney in order to use it with my 30 year old system, or consider replacing the entire system; furnace, central AC, and water heater now rather than wait until an emergency occurs and cobble together repairs until the system (well beyond its life expectancy) finally gives up. I sought out multiple bids on equipment replacement and decided to take the leap into an Home Performance with Energy Star Home Energy Audit. It required the use of an approved vendor so I chose SG Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC. I figured that I would base a big part of my decision on how the energy audit proceeded.
The technician that arrived, Tim, was smart, effective and detail oriented. He showed up ready to find out what my options were not to land a contract.
It's about taking readings and inputting data along with personal judgement.
Tim laid out my options to replace my system with high efficiency equipment. This would avoid the necessity of relining my chimney, as the new system would vent out through a wall instead of the chimney (which would not have been an option had I chosen something other than a high efficiency system.)
The Energy Star program provides significant financing and rebate potential.
I got a detailed quote and all the help I needed from SG to secure my financing. SG did all of the paperwork to secure the rebate, I didn't have to do any of that.
And because of the energy audit by SG Heating I was able to qualify for a substantial rebate and a $10,000., 7 year loan at true 0% !
This minimized my out of pocket expenses.
The scope of work must include attic insulation and not just equipment replacement.
When the date arrived to start the installation, SG worked within my schedule, completed all of the work on time and cleaned up as they went along so there was no mess left behind.
The SG crew were perfect gentlemen. Trustworthy, experienced, honest, highly skilled and very easy to talk to. Scott the owner of the company was directly involved in the job site to supervise and was available at all times, before,during and after the installation because I had a thousand questions.
This was an expensive job overall, and the SG bid was a very reasonable number.
They used Carrier equipment ( a highly rated manufacturer,) and completed the job like pros. Their attention to detail was impeccable. I never felt manipulated or pushed into a deal, there was never a hard sell and I felt that I had easy control over the situation.
The system is working quite well, with no real issues to speak of, the installation looks very neat and professionally done and I couldn't be happier.
I have yet to see my first energy bill so I can't really comment on the Energy Star savings yet but this will develop over a few months.
I can't say enough positive things about SG Heating and I would highly recommend them.

I needed a quote to replace my heat pump and I was talking to a gentleman who I believe was the owner. I asked a simple question about interest rates. The gentleman on the phone then proceeded to talk to me like I was an absolute moron, to the point of berating me. I couldn't believe I was being disrespected like that on the phone and I knew immediately I wouldn't do business with SG. I then said ""I'll consider what you're offering. Thank you."" And ended the call. The gentleman called me back asking if we got disconnected and I said I didn't like the way this conversation was going so I'll be taking my business else where. Here's the kicker. He then said ""Drop dead "" and hung up. Wow. This is the owner of SG folks. I'm a Marine veteran with a business in Hamilton and I will sure as hell be telling everyone to not do business with SG.
