Over priced and poor service. Taking advantage of my distress with my plumbing problems to my house. They promised to charge $600 to empty 1500-2000gal. tank. But when the driver come he said he can only 1000 gallons only. And the driver said if he empties the whole tank he will charge $975.!! I even had to pay another sewer specialist to finish and empty the tank again the next day. Clearly a ripping off people !

Service for this company was great. They showed up very quickly when called. When arrive service was quick and easy. The only issue I had was a price range was given for digging. The range was $150 to $400 over the phone. My tank was 2 feet deep and I was charged $375, it did take him some time to find the opening but it probably took him less then an hour to find it and start pumping. So if that was at the top of the price level then just say your digging price is $400.

I've been waiting for a bit to put up my review. I don't tend to write negative reviews. I like to focus on the positive.

Back in April, I was in the middle of selling my home. It ran on septic. The buyer wanted it to be checked out and certified. I was scrambling to find a service that fit into the timeline of the sale. I've used Mike Penta for pumping in past. I figured they would be reliable for an inspection.

What I didn't know. They are new to septic systems. They've been around for a few years. Yes, they did the work. They pumped and videoed the system. I had to call to get the report. He ""failed"" my system. Recommending that I needed a new system for 26k.

I spoke to a few friends about these findings. They knew septic people from other parts of the country. I sent the reports over to them. Both people from different areas found the report questionable, with the findings. I had to ask for the video footage of the tank they took. That wasn't given to me, until I asked. Otherwise, I was going on their word alone. That footage was sent to the other septic people. They definitely didn't agree with his assessment of a new septic system.

Let's be honest here. There were repairs needed. It wasn't a perfect system.

I went with another local company that offered reasonable repairs and options for a fraction of the price. They told me, I didn't need a new system.

This could have cost me the sale of my home. It could have cost me 26k or more. It caused me a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress. Just using them alone, cost me $1,400 dollars. They performed the work, as requested. But, what I really needed was an honest inspection, where I wasn't being taken advantage of.

In the end to get an honest inspection, it cost me another $1,500 to get it pumped and inspected.

Come to find out, they tend to recommend new septic systems to most people. They don't have a great reputation.

Learn from my mistake. Find a company who has been in the septic business for awhile and do your research. Talk to your neighbors, about who they used. I wouldn't use them for inspections. They were fine for pumping. They do cost more than other companies for pumping.

After reading other reviews of This business I have had a similar experience to some of the other negative reviews. Office manager is extremely difficult to difficult to work with a refuses customers to speak to owner in order to get food information. Michael seems knowledgeable and I had a good first experience with him which is why I have a 2 star review. However my second experience was mostly dishonest with poor service, primarily from the office worker. Left a hole in my front yard and never came back to fill it. Offered a price of 450$ for a pump and then Never pumped but still tried to charge 450$ without ever coming back to finish the job. Would be a better experience if you could work directly with the owner. Other negative reviews appear to be accurate based on my very similar experience.

Mike did a great job at a reasonable price. I tried to contact other pumping companies before I found out about Mike's company, but they did not return my calls.
