I called Sewer Rate a sewer stoppage at 3pm in the afternoon. They were very responsive. The technician James was there within 30 minutes. He worked on the sewer line and clear it. Checked other bathroom to make sure they are all working. It was a very efficient work! Highly recommend it.

James was extremely helpful with our plumbing issue. He was here on time, on a Sunday, and immediately got to work clearing our backed up line. He gave us helpful tips to prevent it from happening again and suggestions on what to do if it happens again. James was very helpful and professional.

Over the past few months, I've seen Sewer Rat trucks in my neighborhood. So when I was having trouble with my sewer, I called them and am so glad that I did!! Turns out that I needed a new sewer. I was very impressed by the crew. Danny, the sewer manager, was very clear when explaining what had to be done and why, and what the process and timeline would be. The crew arrived on the date scheduled and, throughout the process, they arrived on time, cleaned up before leaving and ensured that the site was safe before leaving for the day. They are very friendly and didn't mind my questions. When I did have a concern, I called Danny who was very quick in calling me back to address my concern. I would highly recommend them if you are having trouble with your sewer and/or need a sewer replacement.

Called in for an estimate, the crew showed up on time, was given estimate and within 20 minutes the problem was solved. They guys are great!

Great customer service! Dispatcher was so helpful and technicians came when scheduled which helped plan my day accordingly. They finished and fixed my problem and had my toilet working in no time. Would definitely use them again.

The sewer lateral was replaced 3 years ago by Dave from Sewer Rat. This past week, we had a major blockage in our sewer lateral that resulted in raw sewage backflowing out of our clean out onto our property. We couldn't use our toilets, sinks, washing machine, etc for a total of 5 days. Life was miserable. I contacted Dave and he came out as soon as he could to clear the blockage. Dave is a straightforward no nonsense guy who wants to get the job done. After snaking and putting a camera into the sewer lateral, he managed to clear the blockage. He said since he did the original work 3 years ago, he wouldn't charge me. That is solid service.

We used Sewer Rat a couple of times in the past. Should have checked recent reviews. I just had new grout put in a shower so was sparkling clean. It was draining, but slowly. Appt. was arranged in timely manner & tech arrived within window. He didn't give his name. After 40 min. he informed me it was now totally plugged, probably from rust. He gave me with no suggestions on how to fix the problem. What upset me was the horrible mess --- closed to two inches of rusty, brown water in the bottom of the shower. When I questioned him, his response was ""it wasn't working before"". I talked to Debbie in the office & her response was the same. When I asked if I had to be the one to clean up the mess, she answered "" I can have the supervisor call you next week.""
Cross them off your list. Never again.

When it rains, it pours...Our washing machine was not working and when trying to figure out the problem, I also noticed that the faucet/valve supplying the cold water to the washer was leaking. I first called Noel Appliances regarding the washer. It was a relatively easy repair, but he had to order a part. He suggested that I get the leak fixed while we waited for the part and he recommended Sewer Rat.

I called on a Thursday, hoping to get an appointment on Friday my roommate was working from home. I explianed that he had to be on a call from 12-1pm so we needed to make sure that the work was done by then. Debbie, who answered the phone said she understood and would check the schedule when she got to the office, but she thought she could give me a 9-11am and would call back to confirm.

Debbie called back within 2 hours and said that she could give me an 8:30-9am window to make sure the work was done by noon. She explained their rates were hourly plus parts.

When Friday came, the plumber called and asked if he could come early. We said sure and he arrived a few minutes later. He was friendly, professional, and fixed the probelm in less than an hour. He also connected the new hoses that we got for our machine.

I highly recommend this company and they will be the first one I call next time I have a problem.

Called this morning and didn't get a call back for 2 hours but Joe came out even before the time window that they quoted me for the afternoon. He doesn't have a good bedside manner but knew what he was doing, worked fast and kept things neat and clean. Definitely one of the cheapest for jetting out your sewer line in SF!

They get 1 star for the obnoxious telephone service. I have been a loyal customer of theirs now for about 6 years since they fixed the main to my apartment building. I called to make an appointment for today to have the main cleaned out. Debbie said they had service between 1 and 4. So I made an appointment. Come to find out when I called back at 3:45 that the appointment was for Monday. Debbie was extremely rude to me so rude I will never call them again. Actually she cancelled my appointment for Monday. I guess they are so busy the don't need my business. Too bad guys I guess there is always someone else that is nicer...
