Our hydrojetting service ensures your sewer lines are well-maintained. Additionally, we handle sewer line repairs and replacements. Being a Bonded and Insured C36 and C42 Plumbing and Sewer Contractor, we are listed on the Department of Public Works Approved List and maintain excellent standing with the Contractors' State License Board.
As a small family-owned business, we owe our success to recommendations from pleased customers. We are your one-stop solution for all sewer-related services. With nearly three decades as a general Plumbing Contractor since 1971, we decided to specialize in sewer lines in 1999. We started by delivering camera inspections to other plumbing professionals. As demand increased through word of mouth, we started working with real estate agents and homeowners. As technology progressed, we adopted state-of-the-art trenchless technology for less invasive repairs. After preserving many customers' landscapes, driveways, and concrete foundations, we became known as The Sewer Replacement Specialists. Using trenchless methods is much more economical than conventional techniques. Coming from South Africa, I started in plumbing during the late 1970s, and moved to the USA in the mid-1980s as a plumber. I worked as a licensed Plumbing Contractor until I specialized in sewer lines in 1999. In 2009, I received my Sewer Contractor’s License.

Recently I had to have my pipes fixed, & didn't want everything dig up because I recently invested in landscaping & pavers. I was happy to find out that I had an option of getting a trench-less repair. The guys did a great, clean job. Alex was great, answered all my questions and the job was completed, as promised, during the time frame we agreed.

I had what I suspected was a broken sewer line since the line is right next to a tree and had never been replaced in 70 years. Bids came in from $4200-$7500. The kitchen clean out used for the video by other plumbers was a ways away, and has a few bends, and a small pipe, the camera could reach the blockage but they said they couldn't snake or hydrojet it. The bathroom which is close to the blockage out near the tree has no clean out. Each plumber recommended a clean out first be installed for the bathroom BEFORE they could snake or hydrojet to attempt to clear the problem. Too expensive and didn't make sense to me.
It took me awhile a while to get the city approved list of sewer line contractors and Farrell's company was listed there.
He was the only company who went up on the roof and used the vent and voila, they cleared the blockage, and the video showed no sewer line breakage which saved my mother $4k. So why weren't the others willing to go on the roof? Probably didn't have the right insurance in place to do so. City approved contractors aren't willing to risk their reputation and let insurance lapse and have ample insurance. I'm glad I waited to get the list, Farrell was honest, showed the video to me on his screen, and Alex did a quick job fixing the issue and hydrojetting. Price for installing a clean out was also the best I had received as well. Will use him when the time comes if I need it or need a new line and for hydrojetting in the future.

This company used a hydrojet to clean my sewer line (hyrojet is more expensive but better than snaking). The sewer line is supposed to be free of roots after hydrojet. I had my line inspected two weeks later by another outfit and discovered the line was still full of roots. Always ask to see a video after any sewer clean out. And think twice before using this outfit.

These guys were fantastic - responsive on my request for a quick timeline and made a last minute appointment work. They did a thorough job and were patient with my questions and walked me through a number of important considerations. At no point did I feel like I was being pressured to buy additional services or anything - they just told it like it is and provided helpful explanations live as we viewed the camera. The report afterwards was also a helpful resource with the video included. I'd highly recommend using these folks. Thanks again.

What a relief I found Sewer Line Video Inspection Company.
I recently bought a house in the canyons above Los Angeles. During the inspection process the seller hired another sewer company to clear a blockage. They failed.
After closing, I hired Farrell and his team on the advice of my own realtor, who introduced SLVIC as ""the best in town."" I wasn't disappointed. They cleared the sewer quickly, gave me some advice about maintenance, and were reasonably priced. Great service. I'll recommend them to everyone I know (that has a sewer line.)
Thank you.

I am so pleased to have discovered Sewer Line Video Inspections, Inc.
When my elderly parents' home had repeated back-ups of raw sewage I contacted another company referred by a friend. We were told that the entire sewer line needed to be replaced and a liner was needed inside the connection with the city's main line. Because the job estimate was over $10,000.00 we investigated other companies and fortunately found Farrell Brown, the principal of Sewer Line Video Inspections, Inc.
Farrell detected a crack at the connection with the city sewer permitting tree roots to almost completely obstruct the path. The rest of the line was in good shape. He said that a simple repair at the crack spot, coupled with a hydro-jetting would cure the problem...and he was right.
The entire job including demolition through concrete, removable of inter-locking driveway pavers, the installation of a two-way cleanout providing access to a secondary branch of the sewer line that couldn't be reached before, the replacement of the cracked pipe and the hydro-jetting, laying new concrete and restoration of the driveway, took less than 2 days. Equally remarkable is that the entire job was significantly less than the first job estimate, but resolved the problem with a more intelligent and cost effective solution.
Farrell was honest, very smart, skilled and completely professional, as were his crew. Now everything functions properly and you can't even detect where the work was done.
I am so grateful to have discovered this exceptional company.

Farrell and his crew literally SAVED us thousands of dollars. He came out to inspect our sewer before we bought the home and then again to do the work... BUT only AFTER we got bids from 5 other plumbing and sewer companies. Our bids ranged from $3,000 to $7,500 to fix our sewer line. We called Farrell and asked him to come and take another look and provide an estimate. He arrived on time, ran the video line, and discovered that not only was our line blocked, but the city sewer line had a forest of roots. He recommended we call the city to have their lines cleaned out first, which we did. Side note: City of Glendale were out the next day and cleaned out the city lines. Farrell came back the very next day and cleaned out our line, truly non-invasive. He made a video for us so that we could see the line was clean and this cost us a fraction of the estimates we had received... They are reliable, honest and quick to respond. Highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend this company, which was recommended to me by my regular plumber. I used Sewer Line Video to do two parts on the same project, detail below. Farrell and his team were reliable, honest, and fair in price.
The story goes like this: I own a mid-1950s house in the Valley that had a sewer back-up from the toilets and shower drains that never happened before, but appeared to clear itself (to the sound of a loud ""swoosh""). Right after that, my regular plumber checked out the house and property, but couldn't find a clean-out anywhere and didn't have the necessary equipment to run a snake, so he recommended a second plumber to snake the line. The second plumber couldn't find a clean-out anywhere and so, for $199, he popped a toilet off to run the snake all the way to the street (the line was clear). I never heard of clean-outs before and didn't know what they were. My regular plumber then suggested I have Sewer Line Video run a camera down the line to take a look.
Farrell and his crew couldn't find a clean-out anywhere, but they ran the camera from a roof vent as far as it could go, but were unable to see down the whole line to the street (cost $250). Farrell said clean-outs would allow easy and better access to the rest of the sewer line. Farrell gave me an estimate to install two on each side of the house (one of them would be a two-way), snake the line again, and re-run the camera to the street. My regular plumber said Farrell's estimate was a deal, but I did some more research on clean-outs.
I read a lot online and saw videos on YouTube, and I debated whether or not to spend the money on clean-outs -- something I may never need again. I found that the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has information on its website about homeowners responsibilities for maintaining sewer lines on their property including having clean-outs (basically, sewer laterals are for most people out of sight out of mind, and don't wait for disaster to strike by not checking and maintaining your lines). In the meantime, at three rental properties I own in the desert I hired a company out there run a snake down the clean-outs, two were clear and one had an obstruction which, upon running a camera down the line, turned out to be a large rock blocking the clean-out line before it reached the lateral (its removal is another story). But after that experience I thought LA County is right and I should have the clean-outs installed at my house and have the additional work done that Farrell proposed. I thought even if I never had to have a plumber access the clean-outs again, it would at least be a good improvement to the house and give me peace of mind.
So I hired Farrell and his crew to install the clean-outs and to run the snake and camera again. They were professional and did what I hired them to do and left the property in as good a shape as they found it. I now have peace of mind should I ever have an issue with the sewer lines because I am better prepared with the addition of the clean-outs.
Therefore, I would not hesitate to hire Sewer Line Video again if I need to do so and I highly recommend this company.

I have used these guys a few times with clients and they have always been great. In fact, one camera guy was not able to clean out the roots and Alex was able to do it with no problems. Highly recommended...

i was referred to these guys from another plumber. Robert and his crew were prompt, clean and professional. Although the job turned out to be more than I expected, I felt their prices were fair. They even offered a senior discount.
