We are a family-run business we owe our success to recommendations from pleased customers. We serve as your complete resource for sewer services. With nearly three decades as a general Plumbing Contractor since 1971, in 1999, we shifted our focus to sewer lines. We began by offering camera inspections to fellow Plumbing Contractors. As demand increased through word of mouth, we started working with real estate agents and homeowners. With the evolution of technology, we invested in cutting-edge trenchless equipment for minimally invasive repairs. After protecting many clients' landscapes, driveways, and foundations, we earned the title of The Sewer Replacement Specialists. Trenchless Sewer Replacement is significantly more cost-effective than traditional methods. Originally from South Africa, I entered the plumbing field in the late 1970s, and moved to the USA in the mid-1980s as a plumber. I worked as a licensed Plumbing Contractor until I specialized in sewer lines in 1999. In 2009, I received my Sewer Contractor’s License.

I am so pleased to have discovered Sewer Line Video Inspections, Inc.
When my elderly parents' home had repeated back-ups of raw sewage I contacted another company referred by a friend. We were told that the entire sewer line needed to be replaced and a liner was needed inside the connection with the city's main line. Because the job estimate was over $10,000.00 we investigated other companies and fortunately found Farrell Brown, the principal of Sewer Line Video Inspections, Inc.
Farrell detected a crack at the connection with the city sewer permitting tree roots to almost completely obstruct the path. The rest of the line was in good shape. He said that a simple repair at the crack spot, coupled with a hydro-jetting would cure the problem...and he was right.
The entire job including demolition through concrete, removable of inter-locking driveway pavers, the installation of a two-way cleanout providing access to a secondary branch of the sewer line that couldn't be reached before, the replacement of the cracked pipe and the hydro-jetting, laying new concrete and restoration of the driveway, took less than 2 days. Equally remarkable is that the entire job was significantly less than the first job estimate, but resolved the problem with a more intelligent and cost effective solution.
Farrell was honest, very smart, skilled and completely professional, as were his crew. Now everything functions properly and you can't even detect where the work was done.
I am so grateful to have discovered this exceptional company.

Farrell and his crew literally SAVED us thousands of dollars. He came out to inspect our sewer before we bought the home and then again to do the work... BUT only AFTER we got bids from 5 other plumbing and sewer companies. Our bids ranged from $3,000 to $7,500 to fix our sewer line. We called Farrell and asked him to come and take another look and provide an estimate. He arrived on time, ran the video line, and discovered that not only was our line blocked, but the city sewer line had a forest of roots. He recommended we call the city to have their lines cleaned out first, which we did. Side note: City of Glendale were out the next day and cleaned out the city lines. Farrell came back the very next day and cleaned out our line, truly non-invasive. He made a video for us so that we could see the line was clean and this cost us a fraction of the estimates we had received... They are reliable, honest and quick to respond. Highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend this company, which was recommended to me by my regular plumber. I used Sewer Line Video to do two parts on the same project, detail below. Farrell and his team were reliable, honest, and fair in price.
The story goes like this: I own a mid-1950s house in the Valley that had a sewer back-up from the toilets and shower drains that never happened before, but appeared to clear itself (to the sound of a loud ""swoosh""). Right after that, my regular plumber checked out the house and property, but couldn't find a clean-out anywhere and didn't have the necessary equipment to run a snake, so he recommended a second plumber to snake the line. The second plumber couldn't find a clean-out anywhere and so, for $199, he popped a toilet off to run the snake all the way to the street (the line was clear). I never heard of clean-outs before and didn't know what they were. My regular plumber then suggested I have Sewer Line Video run a camera down the line to take a look.
Farrell and his crew couldn't find a clean-out anywhere, but they ran the camera from a roof vent as far as it could go, but were unable to see down the whole line to the street (cost $250). Farrell said clean-outs would allow easy and better access to the rest of the sewer line. Farrell gave me an estimate to install two on each side of the house (one of them would be a two-way), snake the line again, and re-run the camera to the street. My regular plumber said Farrell's estimate was a deal, but I did some more research on clean-outs.
I read a lot online and saw videos on YouTube, and I debated whether or not to spend the money on clean-outs -- something I may never need again. I found that the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has information on its website about homeowners responsibilities for maintaining sewer lines on their property including having clean-outs (basically, sewer laterals are for most people out of sight out of mind, and don't wait for disaster to strike by not checking and maintaining your lines). In the meantime, at three rental properties I own in the desert I hired a company out there run a snake down the clean-outs, two were clear and one had an obstruction which, upon running a camera down the line, turned out to be a large rock blocking the clean-out line before it reached the lateral (its removal is another story). But after that experience I thought LA County is right and I should have the clean-outs installed at my house and have the additional work done that Farrell proposed. I thought even if I never had to have a plumber access the clean-outs again, it would at least be a good improvement to the house and give me peace of mind.
So I hired Farrell and his crew to install the clean-outs and to run the snake and camera again. They were professional and did what I hired them to do and left the property in as good a shape as they found it. I now have peace of mind should I ever have an issue with the sewer lines because I am better prepared with the addition of the clean-outs.
Therefore, I would not hesitate to hire Sewer Line Video again if I need to do so and I highly recommend this company.

I have used these guys a few times with clients and they have always been great. In fact, one camera guy was not able to clean out the roots and Alex was able to do it with no problems. Highly recommended...

i was referred to these guys from another plumber. Robert and his crew were prompt, clean and professional. Although the job turned out to be more than I expected, I felt their prices were fair. They even offered a senior discount.

I called Sewer Line Video Inspection Company, Inc. for a video inspection of sewer for the house I was purchasing. The technicians were friendly and very professional and explained every step of the inspection process. The inspection revealed extensive root damage and a hole in the older part of the sewer line and they provided an alternative solution to my particular problem. I was so impressed with their professionalism that I called them back to make the necessary repairs. These are the real pros, in communication with me as a customer and with my needs.
I could not be happier!

We have used this company on two of our properties and find them to be professional, thorough, clean and appropriately priced. Using the video camera, Alex showed us root blockage in different locations and explained work that needed to be done. Brent and crew were there on time and would show me work as they went along. The job was completed in a timely manner and everything was cleaned up thoroughly. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is having sewer problems. You will not be disappointed.

Just had Sewer Line Video Inspection repair a seriously root infested main line. Couldn't have asked for faster, kinder, more professional service. Farrell listened to everything i told him i knew about the problem, immediately scoped the line and offered his solution, at an incredibly reasonable price. So nice to have video proof of everything. The entire problem was fixed within a week. Terrific company!

Farrell and his crew are the utmost professionals. They were on time, prepared and knowledgable. They stuck to their scope of work and pricing and were very fair in how the assessed my sewer problem.
After digging up a section of my front yard and replacing/cleaning out a section of my sewer line, they took a lot of care in putting the yard back together and cleaning up their mess.
Farrell and his crew were a pleasure to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

For $250 he spent 20 minutes at my property, RUSHING through the video creation, being vague when I tried to pin him down exactly where the problems (there were 3 or 4 blockages) were while focusing mainly on selling me a $4,000 complete replacement that his company ""specializes"" in. I was saying things like ""so where specifically is this problem?"" ""Uh, on the hillside."" Thanks bud, that's so helpful.
Extra bonus: the counter on his camera was totally confusing. For instance there was a problem at 37 feet from the cleanout, according the video's counter at the bottom of the screen. But the counter read 7 feet AT the cleanout. So isn't it really 30 feet? I thought so and replaced the line up to that point. Then my plumber announces ""you have a problem at 37 feet.""
Special bonus: I asked the guy to email me the video the day he came. Days go by. I call their office and said what's up, where's the video. Office had ME call the guy's cell and ask him to send the video. There's some customer service! ""I'll do it today for sure,"" he says. Guess what, days go by and no video. Ended having to call the owner of the company. Finally got it several days later.
