Jonathan with Sewer Line Survey was great! He's very responsive, arrived when he said he would, gave us an estimate and when he finished the work, the final invoice was actually slightly under the estimate! I understand an ""estimate"" is just that--but it's always nice when a service under-promises and over-delivers

I've now hired him for 2 jobs: first to replace an ancient water softener with a new whole-house water filter system (the whole-house filter is something I found on my own). Next to replace the majority of our galvanized pipes (anything he didn't need to open walls to get to). Replacing the galvanized pipes is turning out to be a bigger job than anticipated, so it's taken an extra visit and I anticipate this invoice will be at least as much as the estimate, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

He mentioned he's been doing plumbing work for 18 years. He's a nice guy and clearly knowledgeable, capable and motivated.

This is my second 5-star review for Sewer Line Survey. Today, Jon (the owner) fixed a drain issue by replacing some old cast iron pipes with ABS. Jon is professional, highly skilled, efficient, and reasonably priced.

We hired John to install a vanity and toilet. There were some tricky issues with the install that he was able to negotiate with ease. Friendly, easy to work with, and very, very capable. I reached out this morning with a leaking shampoo bowl at my salon. Jon was able to come in same day and not only took care of the original drain and gasket issue- but also made it so it is much less likely to happen again by lowering th emetal drain pipe into the pvc pipe so there is more for the gasket and tension fitting to hold onto- on both of my sinks! I sent a photo of the drain and he came prepared with said gaskets in multiples sizes.

We discovered our sewer line was clogged on a Tuesday afternoon. Luckily, Jon was available and came out the same day. My hope was to get the line clear and survey the sewer line with a camera to ""tell the tale"" of what caused the blockage. Snaking the line revealed the approximate blockage location and got everything to drain. Following up with a video camera revealed the culprit was tree roots. Jon snaked the area repeatedly until the line was completely clear. Crisis averted! We're all good until those pesky tree roots grow back. The tree root blockage location was under the street about 9 feet from the curb. The City of Santa Rosa said our street was ""on their list"" for a sewer line replacement which will ultimately fix the problem for good.

After doing some research online I tried to install a bidet and got hung up on the fill valve. Luckily, Jon was there to help me out. He came by the same day and his visit took less than an hour.
