Tyler W.The business said nothing to us about cost, hourly rate, or anything. They came out and fixed our wobbly toilet and in the process they broke the toilet seat. The biggest issue though is that no discussion around how much the repair would cost ever took place, which doesn't allow me to make any other decisions regarding plumbing companies to use. They are terrible, when I spoke to them about this the lady who answers the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me.
Sid S.I called them to come out and look at replacing the polybutylene piping in the home. It took 2 weeks to get them to come out. Before they came I asked if there was a service charge via email. They never responded. Jerry came out and spent over hour hour looking at the home. At the end of his inspection he wanted us to pay him $95 an hour from his shop and his time looking at the project to quote. It would have been more professional to tell you over the phone how much the service call would be. We felt it was very shady at the end to get a quote. He said that he would have his quote by Monday. By Wednesday I called twice about the quote. We were even going to pay his service call fee. He picked up the phone and said they were not going to quote on the repipe. Complete waste of everyone's time. Now weeks later we need to call another plumber. Right now plumbers have an attitude, but it is going to bite them in the butt later.
I have worked with Sessions Plumbing multiple times and I'm always impressed their friendliness, professionalism and the quality of the work. Jerry is a great guy and has saved me a lot of money over the years. I don't understand the negative reviews but there are a few people out there who think businesses should stop everything to help them NOW! Of course, if they were the ones who's work was being delayed by these little jobs they would probably be unhappy also. You just can't please everyone, especially the Karens of this world.
Drain K.Ive worked with Jerry for many years his reputable company is well known for getting the job done i highly recommend sessions to anyone needing a Plumber with years of knowledge and great service.
I had an old kitchen sink replaced with a new one, which I supplied. The total cost was $530. I was aware of the $90/hr labor charge for the plumber. The person in the office told me they would have to send another person to help remove the heavy old cast iron sink. I didn't think much of it until I received the bill and there was 3 hours for the plumber's labor and 3 hours for an apprentice's labor at $60/hour. (Total of 150/hour labor). I guess I just assumed it was $90/hour to do the job period. When I called to question this after receiving the bill, the office person told me ""I told you I would have to send someone to help remove the cast iron sink- I could have sent another journeyman."" Live and learn, I guess. I will be asking more in-depth questions when I need to hire someone to do work for me in the future. I am all for supporting local businesses, but in this case I was disappointed. The work they did was fine- they replaced the sink and did a nice job. It's the office I was disappointed in. I don't feel like they were totally up front with me, and I think the cost was way too high.
We called Sessions Plumbing after hours and left a message that we would like to schedule an appointment for a bid to have our old galvanized pipes from the 60's replaced all the way from the meter and throughout the whole house. They called us back the next business morning and scheduled the bid for the next day. Jerry was very prompt and professional. He did is walk through and said he would have the bid to us by the end of business the next day. Again, very prompt and true to his word. I work from home so I have been around during the entire process and I cannot make enough positive comments about the crew that completed our work. They called and introduced themselves prior to arriving, arrived promptly, were very polite and friendly. My hat is off to Jerry, Josh, Steve, Mark and the entire crew at Sessions. You all have made this project easier and more bearable. We will definitely be calling you if we ever need any additional work done!!
Had a water leak on a Friday afternoon. Contacted their office and was laughed at by the office staff. She stated ""Good Luck with finding anyone to help you."" She offered no assistance or alternatives. If this encounter is an indication of their professionalism then I am staying clear.
Robert P.I've had two dealing with this company and I was very impressed with both performace and honesty. We had an emergency (Water heater blew up) they showed up same day, replaced heater and charged a very fair price, when ""they could have"" charged emergency prices. I highly recommend these guys. David S.Had a large water leak under a rental house, called these guys and was told I have to wait for over a week - I understand they have a schedule BUT they should be able to squeeze in emergency jobs - I ended up fixing it my self, Tenants needed the water turned back on
Wow!!! Was I impressed with the quality, timeliness, and professionalism of the nice young man who was contracted to repair the water lines in my apartment unit following a fire below me. He went out of his way to contact me prior to arriving, to ensure his visit wouldn't be disruptive to my schedule. When he arrived, he has all his tools and necessary items with him. Furthermore, he brought his own tarp to lay down rather than using my white linens. He kept me apprised of the work progress, finished in an exceptionally timely fashion, and encouraged me to contact him with any other problems or concerns. I would highly, highly recommend this company to anyone in the area needing plumbing or heating services!!
