I can't pinpoint the establishment date of Sessa's Licensed Plumbing & Heating. I began my journey with them in 1992 and took ownership in 2004. Since then, we have maintained our size and have recently incorporated HVAC repairs and installations into our offerings. We hold full licensing, insurance, and certification in every field we operate in.
I’ve always found the concepts of this trade fascinating. I particularly enjoy the boiler heating aspect. We’ve recently added air conditioning to our services, and I’m eager for the challenges that will keep me sharp.

Maura M.I just had an unsettling encounter with an employee at Sessa Plumbing. I was crossing at a stop sign in my residential Brooklyn neighborhood. I saw a van barreling down the street. It came to a quick halt when he saw me crossing the street. It was a Sessa Plumbing van. I said ""That's too fast."" The driver's response was ""F*** you, lady. I stopped. F*** you."" I would never want someone who talked to me in that threatening tone in my home. I've used Sessa in the past, but never ever again.
Sessa did extensive work on our basement. The owner and his team were prompt, communicative, and extremely diligent. He had a direct line of communication with our contractor, which was our biggest concern as our contractor was adamant about using his plumber. Getting a hold of him was easy.
This was probably one of the biggest jobs we have done in the house and it was the most seamless. Glad we went local, glad we went Sessa.
3 years ago Sessa Plumbing installed a new boiler in my building. All seemed fine until last week when National Grid was checking something in my building . They turned off the gas and took the meter because the pipe size to the boiler was incorrect. I reached out to Richie at Sessa. He said he would call me later and never got back to me. I called a few other plumbers who all came to look at the situation. I learned that the boiler was not installed to code. Also, it was not filed with the city and this is causing me additional costs and aggravation.
Our family have been very satisfied customers of Ritchie's and the team at Sessa's for more than a decade now. In total, Sessa's handled for us 1 boiler conversion from oil to gas, 4 toilet replacements, the plumbing part of 2 bathroom renos, and more. We have never had a problem with any of their work. Every one of their apprentice plumbers and Ritchie himself are courteous and respectful of your home. An excellent plumbing service all around!
Great service, very professional. They squeezed me in at the last minute because they were seeing another apt in my building. My tub was clogged. Within ten minutes he had snaked the line and brought up a huge clump of hair. Totally satisfied with the work.
Rosana R.I once wrote a 5 stars review for this business about 4 or 5 years ago. The service was great, a bit to the expensive side but I was satisfied with the plumbing work. After using them around 4 more times, I unfortunately have to admit they services went down drastically. Starting with a rude person who answer the phone. She clearly and undoubtedly doesn't care about any customer and is known to be a rude by others in the company. Why is she the front door for their services bits me. She must related to someone there and disdain towards customers goes without accountability. If you want to hire and spend money on a company who does not care about your business, and lack customer service, this is the place to go. I am out to another plumber in the area with decades of good standing and customer services.
Asta W.I've used Sessa three times and will use them again if the need arises. They are extremely professional and do work of the highest quality.
Oscar J.I contacted Sessa on the morning of May 27, 2011. My toilet's flushometer had failed, so we were having a nice little emergency. Sessa sent Ben out a few hours later. Ben was not just a very capable plumber; he was also extremely intelligent and friendly. He spent more than 2 hours on this project. He could have just replaced the defective part of my old residential-grade flushometer; but he gave me the option to upgrade to a commercial-grade flushometer. The cost of the upgrade was double the cost of replacing the defective old part (approximately $600.00 versus $300.00), but I chose the upgrade because Ben showed me the parts that compose the Sloan Royal flushometer as well as the parts that compose the old Rex flushometer and I could see that the Sloan was much superior to the Rex. I cannot praise Ben enough. When I was not satisfied with the too little amount of water that the new Sloan was producing with each flush, which was happening because the Sloan, designed for commercial use, was generating just 1.6 gallons per flush whereas I was used to double that amount, Ben consulted his manager, and they improvised a work-around whereby Ben disabled the Sloan's shut-off valve so that the amount produced per flush approximated the amount to which I was accustomed. Praise must also go to Ellen, the office receptionist, who handled this whole situation with great professionalism. Speaking of professionalism, Sessa runs a highly professional operation. The prices for every kind of repair are in a large binder, so there can be no issue of an employee charging whatever he feels like charging. Also, the 6-year warranty on parts & labor that Sessa provides is at least twice what I believe most other service providers offer, whether they are in the plumbing business or some other business. For that reason, and taking into account the excellent quality of the work Sessa performs, I consider their prices, while high, to be quite reasonable.
I know from experience that Sessa reliably and capably honors its warranty. About a week after Ben installed the replacement flushometer, it failed. I called Sessa and Ben showed up at my home within two hours, made some adjustments, and my toilet has been working perfectly ever since.
susan j.I've just spent a day working the phones trying to find the right people to help me with the replacement of my broken hot water heater that is still under warranty. I thought Sessa was going to do the job today. They had called this morning saying they were going to ""squeeze me in."" Problem is, when Sessa learned that the entity that has to deliver the new hwh couldn't do it today, they called me and said it wouldn't work for today and they wouldn't be able to do it until the middle of next week. That's too long for our family of 6 to go without hot water so I said OK, thanks for trying. Fast forward 8 hours later, I've had many conversations with plumbers, hot water heater providers and the warranty holder--ugh. FINALLY, a nice plumber's representative tells me that all warranties for AO Smith--my hwh maker--go through one guy. They give me the guy's number. I call him. I tell him the information on my unit. I give him my address. ""Wait a minute,"" he says, ""somebody else called this in already."" He had all my details from Sessa from 8am this morning. He had told Sessa he couldn't deliver the hwh today but he could tomorrow. He said that Ellen, the woman you'll speak with if you're stupid enough to call Sessa, told him that she would pass the information along to me. She did not do this. She didn't even mention this man--the gatekeeper--to me. This was the key piece of information I needed to have to get the new hwh. Ridiculous! I now have the new unit being delivered tomorrow and a different plumber--who is charging me HALF what Sessa was going to--doing the installation.
Sessa called me twice to confirm their appointment with me. I confirmed both times. An hour after the plumber was supposed to arrive, they called to tell me the plumber was having trouble parking, so he was going to leave. I had left work for this appointment! I begged for him to try again and they said it was impossible (I live in Brooklyn where there is ample parking) and I would have to find a different plumber. Disappointing to say the least. If you're anywhere near downtown Brooklyn, don't count on them making it to your house.
