With my husband's recent death, I certainly would have thought that after the years and money spent with Service Today that I would have been treated better with the recent A/C issue.
Maury was supposed to be here between 7-9 pm on Thursday 6/2. He called on my deceased husband's cell phone (the office had my cell number) at 10:30 to see if he should still come. When Maury arrived at 11pm-ish on 6/2 to address the water draining from the evaporator unit, he did everything BUT address what I kept telling him was happening (the critical issue at that time). Yes, maybe the refrigerant was low (I even doubt that at this point). At midnight, he told me it would take 1-2 hours to diagnose what the issue was and at that point I was done! I had another HVAC company come out and yes the condensation pipe from evaporator unit was 90% clogged. On Friday 6/3 at 8:26am (the next morning), your office called me to see if I had a decision on the new system (your company must be desperate!). I hadn't even received an invoice from the night before and come to find out it was sent to my deceased husband's email!!
The price that Service Today charged me was outrageous compared to what other companies in the area are charging! I will not use their services going forward and would not recommend them to anyone.
Worse AC company I've EVER dealt with. Brand new house and they never made sure the system was balanced correctly and never made sure that when you turn on the AC that the air handler actually turns on! The owner came out and checked out our system and said ""nothing was wrong"" and it was my new thermostat yet it was hooked up exactly how they had theirs and one of their other techs, who I trust, checked to make sure it was connected correctly and it was. The owner went up in the attic and miraculously it works now, yet he said nothing was wrong and it was my unit..... Do not use them! You get the run around! They've been to our home 4 times for repairs. The owner came out the first time and couldn't fix our problem with the AC or Fireplace. 2nd guy came out, Barry, who fixed the Heating and unit turning on and off issue, then 3rd guy came out and actually fixed the Fireplace, now the owner comes back out and what do you know, ""nothing is wrong""....... wtf.... AC wouldn't work. What do you mean nothing is wrong!? Do yourself a favor, do not use them!
Worst experience with an HVAC company in my life, and I'm a Realtor! Maurey came out to our house to fix our mini-split, and didn't even thoroughly inspect it first. He looked at it and immediately assumed it was un-permitted and said he would be 'turning us in.' Our entire basement was finished several years ago and everything was permitted! He was incredibly rude, short-tempered, and disrespectful to my husband and our house guests. I will NEVER use this company again.
What a negative experience with Service Today. They sent out a consultant, Will, to give me an estimate on work to move natural gas lines on a kiln. Will was courteous, thoughtful, honest and competently understood the work that needed to be done. Sent me an estimate and I scheduled the work. Three weeks later Maury shows up who does not know his ass from his elbow. Is belligerent, rude, arrogant and has no clue how to perform the work order. Spends 20 minutes on the computer trying to figure out how to perform the job at hand. Comes back to me and makes up a stupid, stupid excuse that a work permit has to be pulled. The work has already been done. The fixture, kiln, has been attached. All he has to do is move the gas pipes two feet and reattach them. No work order is required to reattach a fixture. I'm furious and frustrated. I then call Service Today to complain that their employee is neither knowledgeable nor competent and ask for Will to perform the work. The refuse to send Will and will not complete the work order that they gave me the estimate for. What a huge waste of my time.
Dawn W.I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the heating and air-conditioning work done for me by Service Today team. From the very first meeting that I had with Maury, I knew that both he and Service Today were a high integrity company. He explained everything completely with details and answered ever question. Always polite and with kindness. I went ahead and contracted with them to provide me with an entirely new heating and airconditioning system and their work was done on time, they showed up when they said that they would and just generally went above and beyond to make this customer exactic over their work and service. Service today is the best of the best and will call them for EVERYTHING I need going forward. I had an exception experience with the entire team. Many thanks to Maury and Barry for all of their great work!!!
